Happy Mid-Autumn Festival to everyone ! Of course such a joyous occasion have to be celebrated with a happy & funny book. This book has been highly recommended by Lidge & Phong, our Viet enthusiastic readers. The Viet book has a cute cover so I am attaching it for all to see. I've read abt a qtr of the book and indeed what they said is true. Although the male lead is belly black, he is not overboard and is very loving & nice to his family & dog. Another thing I like abt him is that he is a self-made man. If Xinn is still around, she'll eat up this novel in no time, lol.
This book is very hilarious. The female lead has a lesbian co-worker who was caught in a compromising position but since the face couldn't clearly be seen, the co-worker slyly begins to spread rumor that it's actually the female lead who is a secret lesbian so the female lead is called by the supervisor into the office and fired. The female lead is like "huh? what? I like men, i swear!!! I like men, I don't like women" lol but she's fired so she goes to a bar and gets drunk and assaults the male lead & takes his dog. He likes her so he pretends to be injured and goes to her apt with his friend (who is a police officer lol) to trick her to care for him. The male lead is soooo fu hei and he has an adorable niece!!!! The two of them band together to trick & tease the female lead.
This is the exact medicine I need now. Been suffering from countless of non-wifi days in the mountains of Xinjiang. Finally seeing some skyscrapers today but still not home yet. Sigh.......but happy mid-autumn to everyone.

Maybe besides Ling Cao (from Tuzi YaDao Wo Bian Cao) and Xiao Xiang (from Two of Us Are Not Familiar), this is a first time for me that the male lead is not powerful, invincible and super rich. And haha..... he's a chef!! But what a cute chef he is.
A heartwarming story of a poor young university drop-out who worked his way up to become a successful chef and restaurant owner. I was rather amused both at the male lead and at myself. Yin Ze is never serious, you never know if he really means what he's saying or if he's just pulling your leg. I'm amused at myself becoz I was totally taken in by Yin Ze although I always thought I was very biased towards only one type of male leads (powerfully rich, handsome, black belly.......). And suddenly, Yin Ze's charms crossed my path....he even has wrinkles round his eyes. So sweet...
The plot is simple, the storyline is straightforward, but the book is funny and real enough to hold my attention right to the end.
Always trust your shifu's good taste in novels since all those books you mentioned were recommended by me:P Only once in a blue moon I let you eat turkey & I do that purposely lol. You need to come down to earth. You can't only read abt rich and powerful uncles and have unrealistic expectations, haha...Btw, come to my blog to vote for your book:P
Hey, you forgot to mention abt his cute and adorable niece & dog:P The description of his restaurant is so funny with a few tables & chairs only. Actually it does sound like a good idea. The male lead is just too funny especially when he is pretending/acting, lol. I am going to start on another book by this author but always cannot find the time:(

Yes, I totally agree. At first when I read this book, I just enjoyed it because it was so positive and funny and romantic but I did find it a wee bit long. But after reading more c-novels, I realised that at least it remained v good from start to end! Highly recommended.
