No Regrets Coming to This Kingdom 江山不悔/ 穿越之江山不悔 by Ding Mo (HE)

Yan Po Yue will forever remember this night– covered in wounds, blinded in both eyes, but still carrying a wounded and near to death her, fleeing for their lives. With nowhere to hide or run, she will always recall his cold and proud voice ringing in the dark night..”the worlds greatest and most respected martial art heroes gather together, just to defile an innocent maiden. Tonight, however, I will lay my life down for her.”

With that, he fought with his life to protect her, one man against a hundred. The flash of his sword under the moonlight like snowflakes in the dark.

Total of 119 chapters!!! A super long story..but very addictive and interesting with lots of twists and turns…

Main lead: Bu Qian Xing – level 5 vanguard general of da xu
Second male lead: Mu Rong Zhan – general of da xu (also the 17th Marquis)
Female lead: Yan Po Yue – only daughter of the general of guards of da xu.

A very complex story which I shall try to summarize without too much spoilers…..
Main 3 countries at war, da xu, jun he guo and qing lun. All 3 characters are from da xu. The 2 male leads are sworn brothers cum best buddies, who fall for the same girl.
Story starts with YPY’s life…. She’s supposed to have time travelled from the present to past ( although there is hardly any reference to the future other than she died and wants to make use of her life fully this time round. No using modern technology to make life better either). She is a 16 yr old girl who is raised in total isolation. Although the manor is filled with servants, all are mute, and illiterate. The two who are not mute are blind. The only normal one is the main butler. On the day her father is supposed to come and visit her, she was at a stream, and out pops a male who kisses her deeply and chains bot he legs with golden hoops. On returning to the manor, she tries to remove them unsuccessfully, only to realize later, that the man who cuffed her and kissed her is her dad. Mr psycho dad raises her to be his wife (oky..it grossed me out here) and ding dang bells….he bring her back on her 16th bd to the capital, but somehow his plans got waylaid, and instead of bedding his daughter, she got bethrothed to his young general…..her story is really interesting, and I shall not spoil by giving too much info here….

So basically due to some screw up on the wedding night, she manages to escape her psycho dad, only to be recaptured by her husband, and later to fall into the hands of 5 ugly thugs (who happen to be well known for raping women). She’s saved by a self proclaimed philandering wuxia guy, who appears crazy. She gets knocked out, and wakes up to find herself in a peasant lady’s home.

Too long to summarize….but basically, plot revolves around the wuxia world as well as the kingdom/generals war.

But anyways…I really dunno who to ship. Both male leads are just as wonderful, but somehow…one has to be the loner.

It is so weird to have a father as a male lead. :l Are they related by blood?

Ding Mo normally has a normal plot without incest etc.

Nope..father is not the main lead. Father is the general of guards…main lead started as the 5th level general vanguard of the army.

heys Pm, long time no hear from you 🙂

does this book have a HE for the main couple?

i’m guessing that Mr Psycho Dad isn’t her real father or else he wouldn’t do such a thing?

Actually i wouldn’t mind if you post a few more spoilers so i can decide whether to read the book or not 😀

What are the characters of the three main leads like? Is the tone of the story more serious or light?

Hihi lemon salt…yep….bz reading and silently stalking :p

Hhmmm it is a happy ending for the main couple…but there is also an awesome 2nd lead who didn’t get the girl. So if u are gonna ship him, then it’s not a happy ending. It’s kinda like jiu Ye and huo qu bing….both are awesome…but you can only have one winner….

Wait let me try writing a spoiler section…

Thanks Pm for your hardwork! Ok I will be checking this story out.

Sounds like the triangle is going to be more heart breaking than Da Mo Yao since the two males are sworn brothers.

Did you read manage to finish reading 凤囚凰 ? I think you said you were going to read it

Eh…heheh…nope..I ditched it abt chpt 87…it was getting draggy…

Actually it’s not really a triangle at all…the 2 bros didn’t fight over the gal in tat sense. MRZ gracefully backed down, coz he knew that she loved bqx with all her heart and ever once loved him….I’m on the last section…and it has a lot of plots in one story…which makes it very interesting. Love war betrayal loyalty past sins of the older generation etc…only complain…super long….but it’s a good read…to me at least.

    Hi Pm,

I’ve started reading the book over the weekend. It’s quite an enjoyable read so far. You’re right, it’s kind of like Da Mo Yao because of the army battle/camp scenes and the two male leads. The two second male leads met the female lead first but don’t end up with her :/ (I like MRZ alot!! hehe I must confess that I read the last chapter just to see how it ended but I’m still going to read the whole story because it seems like alot of things happened in between)

I think this is my first ancient story where it’s more of a wuxia-army story vs the xianxia or palace story. Glad that the female lead gets to learn martial arts to protect herself and grow in the story.
