• This is Si Lu Min Yin's upcoming audiobook that she's doing with Nei Ou (from the Tang Qi modern novel) and Xiao Bian C.

  It seems to be a heavy one. I have a feel that the main guy is not her husband (C-gege), but will be ex-bf who comes for revenge. I pestered her for hints as to if C-gege will be male lead, but she just said one is old love and one is new love. T_T that's not answering at all. =P Either way, I like the setted up enviroment of the novel. Can already feel that the characters will get all torn and ripped apart under the pen.

  • haha I went and found out who the OTP is. I honestly wanted it to be SLMY/C OTP, but I think I like Nei Ou's voice here better. Seems like C-gege has pattern of being 2nd Male now. lol

    • Oh Chancy, we do have great minds that think alike, haha....We've uploaded books fr the same author:) I am 100% sure Cgege is the 2nd lead because his name comes after Nei Ou. So Cgege is the hubby Sheh Ping Ning & Nei Ou is the ex-bf Chi Cheng. This means she will end up with ex-bf? Oh, I don't mind Cgege as the 2nd lead but I'll be sad if she doesn't get the girl:( Unless his character is awful in the book. Never mind, support you Cgege no matter who you are, heehee..

  • I just listened to the teaser. How come there are 3 pictures of 3 guys? They all look so handsome so I am drooling, haha...How come the hubby's voice doesn't sound like C-gege? Hmmmm, I feel that he is too young to be the hubby.Is she going to do 沥川往事 also?

    I just tested the audiobook. It is not that bad but the 2 voices seem very matured. Of course the cxt8 version will be better.

    • I was surprised too, I was like is that.....him? I get the feel that the husband is not such a likable guy, possessive type. I don't get the whole New love old love from this though that she told me about.

• Oooh...sounds good! I'm trying to make the 56 player work so I can hear the teaser, but I like the premise already!

  • For some reason, Google Chrome doesn't work. Firefox opened it fine for me. The time selection part is a bit weird, though.

    • I used internet explorer when I was at school pc lab. Sometimes they don't work on Chrome or Firefox. I don't like IE though.

  • I donno, she usually won't do rereads. I'm still waiting on more news about her other wuxia audiobook that she'll be doing. It's with the same guy from the short project "Crazy Love" she just posted up. He's read with Ah Shou before for the modern novel I just posted up, pretty good reader also.

• Ooo I'm reading this now! The main male lead Chi Cheng is an interesting character but so mysterious... Maybe we can discuss this together when you all start on the audiobook!

• Just finished this. Can't say I enjoyed it. The author's characterization and descriptions are still good. The problem is the plot is too thin so the story moves very slowly since there's not much to go on. It's frustrating in that it takes 3/4 of the story for Chi Cheng's "motive" to be exposed, and when it is, it's kind of flimsy even. After feeling disappointed at the "motive," I skimmed quickly to get to the ending to get some closure.

  Happy ending for the main couple so yay if one cares enough? XX's tolerant of her dramatic, irresponsible mother and XX's love-hate relationship with her stepsister add some much needed humor to an otherwise bland story with a very weak plot.

  • Wow, sis Lucy, you finished this faster than I finish Eventually Lost Youth. I suspect there are 48 hrs a day in your life, haha.....Did you read my rants & raves on Lost Youth? I like that book very much so I am rather disappointed to read your feedback on this book. I am expecting a lot fr the author as well as the audiobook. Make me wonder why they are going to reread the book. Hopefully the audiobook can make this otherwise slow book a bit more interesting. Btw is the main couple the girl & the bf?

• It is out, it is out, 10 episodes are out. I am listening to it now, so happy:) Needless to say, the quality is top notch. Bcos I've been trying a lot of horrible modern audio books today & has been feeling a bit down. Oh, C gege is really the husband. I gonna register & leave him a msg in English to support him, haha....He does sound convincing but once I think of his photo, I just can't stop laughing:P

    • Did u read the msg C gege left? Chest thighness, & inspect the floor what does he mean, lol? I can never understand his Chinese:P The hubby sounds serious & staid as expected. Never mind, this shows C gege as being versatile. He can't always be nice & funny. So far not abusive yet. I am on chapter 3 but going to sleep soon. See u in the morning:)

• So far Yan Li Jie has my utter loathing. Shallow, selfish, shameless, and materialistic. I wish I could throttle her.

  • Actually that's really harsh. I just really dislike her because she's a terrible role model and a terrible mother.

      • I'm actually a little past the audiobook, because I don't like leaving books unfinished unless their bad. So far, I don't know their backstory yet, because Xun Xun doesn't know Chi Cheng, even though, he obviously knows her because of his scheming. I don't think it's a love at first sight, so their has to be some background. But I get why you would dislike it, Ping Ning and Xun Xun's relationship is really boring. At first, I felt such pity for her because her marriage feels like a complete sham. It really does agree with her statement, "I couldn't find a reason to not marry him." That is a terrible reason to marry someone.
