Really like this story so far. Its the familiar plot of 1001 nights of storytelling to prolong her life except theres another angle to this story by introducing the angel of death.
The illustration for the audiobook cover was drawn by guy reader's wife who is a illustrator. It really paints out the characters pretty well and matching the voice of the readers. Im actually not very use to reading names that aren't in Chinese, especially these European sounding names that are very hard to remember.
Yah, the names sound a mouthful. I saw the guy reader's photo with the wife, I think. Haha, I am judgemental but he does look a bit like the devil as he is kind of thin & mature looking compared to Bu & C geges. His voice is ok but I can't explain how unusual it is. Just that his voice is suitable for reading baddie or creepy characters. I always picture his voice as the voice of Satan, lol. He'll excel in reading fantasy or vampire stories:P
I think he forced his voice to be raspier for this story. This story get's pretty sad as expected, but I think it's Happy Ending. Really hate the king in this story.
I am half way on chapter 2. Who is the king? The old guy Olivia married? Isn't he a Duke? The angel of death likes Olivia right? But seem like he is very old compared to her. I am a bit confused with those weird names.
Finally finished reading this story, it left me feeling .....uncontent.
[spoiler]Angel of death seems to like Olivia, but Olivia seems to only see him as a friend. She ended up making that old boar fall in love with her so she lived to be 70 while the death Angel is sent to hell. And his angel friend constantly prays to God to take away his sentence. I liked Olivia by herself, she's a very selfless person wanting to sacrifice her own happiness to save countless of girls in her city, but if you're rooting for her to elope with the Angel of Death, than she's a pretty big disappointment especially for how much he sacrificed for her. I was on that ship, waiting ever second for her to finally quit and run away with the Angel of Death, but it didn't happen. She was suppose to die because she was so sick from all that worrying about finding new stories to tell to the old boar, so I kinda wish she would have just left before she died, but instead the Angel of Death prevented all the other Angel of Deaths from taking away her soul so she managed to live to 70. I dislike this ending.

I am on Chapter 3 only bcos I've been chasing Floating Dream like crazy:P Hey, listen to that book with us. It is a bit angsty yet funny. Haha, I am on chapter 15 already. I can't put it down & also can't stop laughing, lol. Thats it. After reading your spoiler, I am not gonna continue this book. Oh, my poor Angel of Death:(
