I always thought that most novel by Taiwan authors are not as memorable maybe due to the length.But I came across this book and find that it pull all my heart strings. Song Qing Hai and Li Xing Yu are neighbours and share same birthday on Xmas Day. But instead of tall, charming, smart and rich, SQH has a issue with height. Yes, our hero in this novel is shorter than XingYu (in the beginning). XingYu is just an average girl next door with average intelligence. But I really like her r/s with her awkward neighbour. She defend her love ones fiercely and is very caring and loyal to QH. Their eventual separation was rather uncalled for but I guess it is necessary for the character to grow and mature. It's about learning to let go so that you will not hurt the one you love with all your heart.I cries for their misunderstanding and also the times when they were at each other down moments. But the story is not without it's weakness. I can overlook it cos it's has my favourite elements of campus stories, childhood romance and reunion after some separation. The main story take place in their high school years and mainly on campus. The friendship among the 3 girls are very touching. Now why did I have no such boy neighbour when I was growing up!!!! Hope you enjoy the read
A very cute story about childhood love. In addition to the epilogue, all actions take place at the school. The novel is pure and innocent, like the first snow. I am glad that the heroes met over the years, with the intention of being together. But this is how the book ends at the meeting, it's sad. After all, I would like to know how they will get along with each other as adults. Whatever one may say, 8 years have passed, this is a decent period. In general, I have a pleasant impression from this story. It provides an opportunity to rest and relax after a more difficult romance.
