HIGHLY recommended to read the 2 novels before this, 神之左手 then 密室困游鱼; 密室 is a continuation from 神之. Then comes 蜜汁炖鱿鱼, novel about another couple briefly mentioned in the first 2 novels.
The background of the series is mainly about the world of professional gamers. 神之 and 密室 talks and focus a lot on the world of pro gamers, and it's honestly not boring at all, on the contrary, it's quite exciting. MBFB really never cease to surprise me with the setting she chooses for each and every of her novels. 神之 and 密室 is a refreshing read for me because I have never read novels that have pro gamers as the background. What I really like about MBFB is that she really does her research and not only writes about the romance part, but also focus a lot on the background she chooses to write about for her novel.
As for this novel, 蜜汁炖鱿鱼, there is not really that much description on the world of pro gamers because it has all been done in the first 2 novels. This novel is mainly about the romance between gun and Tong Nian. Quite a cute, fluffy and funny novel.
All 3 novels, highly recommended. :)
