This is the third book in the “Mistaken Marriages” series by Qian Lu. In the first and second book, we learnt that the famous Qing sisters are forced to marry the King, the Prime Minister, and a General of their enemy country. On their way there, the second sister incited the rest to commit suicide and as if it is an insufficient show of protest, she got them disfigure their own faces before they hanged themselves. The eldest and the youngest sisters died in that attempt, but their bodies were possessed by 2 time-travellers which are the female leads in the first and second “Mistaken Marriages” books respectively.
In book 3, we finally meet Qing Feng, the one who wanted to die the most but who ended up being the only survivor. She was suppose to marry the Prime Minister Lou Xi Yan, but due to an identity error, she was sent to the Palace instead where she ended up in the Yan Hong Tian’s harem. Her hatred is strong and constantly fueled her quest for revenge. The story is rather heavy, with entrapments, poisoning, deaths, typical of life in Imperial Harems and the relationship between Qing Feng and Yan Hong Tian is definitely a love/hate relationship where they torture each other nicely (though I tend to think that Yan Hong Tian manage to torture Qing Feng more). For me, I enjoyed the ending best of all because it is a happy ending where some sweet moments finally came through.
I agree with the statement of the happy ending. If there wasn’t one, it would be very frustrating considering all the pain we the reader had to go through. Out of all the sisters, this one definitely had the toughest time, especially considering she is the actual one and not some time-traveling soul. Frankly I always wondered what would happen if she married Lou Xi Yan like she was suppose to. At least in the end, Yan Hong Tian and Qing Feng fell in love with each other, but the process was hard….
Yet..at least she got happy ending and lived in peaceful place…she maybe stubborn but the smart one…At first i really dislike Yan Hong Tian compare to other two male leads….But slowly i started to like him..he is just surrounded by the full of fake love,fake concern…So no wonder he is cold to everyone…if he want to stand above the enemies he need to be strong and undefeated…That’s why at the first i think that he’s jerk..but later i realized he’s the one who need real love and care…i feel for him ..Maybe he’s not the perfect male lead but for the title of emotional torture male lead character YHT definitely fit the one….
I’ve been following the translation so far up until chapter 33 but I’m am just darn craving for spoilers. Would anyone mind to spoil when or how the otp came to have feelings for each other and in what chapters would the romance starts to pick up? I’m those who likes to know what happens in the story and then reading it after knowing the details.
He started to like her claws and stubbornness…Is not like love at first sight but slowly bulid the love line…But they never confess and they’re too stubborn to be admitted to each other…Have u ever read “To be a virtuous wife” ?Just like that novel they slowly into each other and u know that sometimes action is louder than speaking…R u want to know the whole spoiler or just the romance scenes?..Do u know that how to hide the spoiler like the other does….B’coz i don’t know and i don’t want to spoil the other who don’t want to know the spoiler…

hi! i’ve started to read novel a couple of day now and i really enjoy reading but i got a little confused ‘coz i’ve finished a mistaken marriage match (3rd book) and in the last chapter it’s said that yan ning is not QF and YHT’s real baby? i don’t understand when did they switch their baby and what happen to the real one? so in addition it seems that onely QF is aware of the thing! thx for replying
The real one is one of the twins of her second sister..B’coz she’s afraid that her child will scheme against by others like the previous one.So she asked the second sister to take her child out of the palace and raised like a normal child not the royal one.Actually smuggling the royal baby is Big No No for the palace.But YHT knows her pain and if anyone who raise his child that will be his trusted man Aka the second sister husband.So he closed his eyes and let the sister took the baby(it’s really heartbreaking for both of them)PS. The child sure grow up as the fine young man(just imagining the version YHT+LXY).He got the power ,the brain and the face exactly like YHT
