In the Ming Dynasty, the distinguished Luo family suffers a downfall and wanted to solve the crisis through a marriage arrangement. The intelligent and introverted Shi Yi Niang Luo was chosen, and she rose from a lowly concubine’s child to become the much-coveted madame of the Yong Ping Duke Manor.
Facing the complicated web of the relationship as well as the distrust of her own family, Shi Yi Niang uses her kindness and purity to win the Xu family’s trust and respect; while her love and tolerance eventually won the respect of the people who used to look down on her.
Shi Yi Niang also uses her intelligence and wits to help her husband Xu Ling Yi to put forward plans and ideas, saving the Yong Ping Duke Manor from peril situations; and also improving the lives of the people. When the country faced invasion from external forces, Shi Yi Niang and Xu Ling Yi work together to lead the army, emerging victorious in their battles. Their relationship also deepens in the process.

Wallace Chung's new drama ♥ But such a long one with so many books, 7 of them. The traditional Chinese version has 17 books. So, I'll just wait for the drama. Kind of like The Story of Minglan. This seems like a female-centric drama. So, Wallace will have less screen time, so the production coy can pay him less lol? Anyway I'll look fwd to it but keep my fingers crossed that it won't be draggy & he'll look handsome in it :)

Do you know when the series will be released?
It will probably be released in 2021 since it has only started filming recently. Then they've to dub Wallace's voice and editing etc to get it ready for the release. Maybe aim for Chinese New Year holiday in 2021?
