    This author’s is ding mo’s good friend so she is bias. The book is only average, rather draggy. Campus version of kdrama secret garden.

    Thanks so much jollymerry and busybody! I really appreciate it!

    I know what you mean jolly! I saw the book cover and was instantly attracted to it, and I went and found the book, but I wanted to know if it was HE or not, so I didn’t start reading it ^^;; And yes, I understood about the same from the summary, and it was a bit vague. The downside to having meh comprehension of chinese is the fact that you’re often in doubt as to whether you understood something correctly or not =___=;;

    Since I’m not really in the mood for a body swap book right now, I’ll give it a miss, though I will come back if I’m in the mood for hijinks. But now I’m somewhat weary, because I really didn’t like Secret Garden, so I hope the body swapping is the only similarity T_T

    I started to read english translations of this on Fanatical and it’s quite okay. The author wasn’t able to build up the individuality of the characters early in the novel and i think that played a role in my reading. Unlike other novels I read where the authors have perfectly described what the characters were like, what they do, how others look at them, what they look like. The author did it in passing but not enough to have the image built up in my head. It’s not really giddy-giddy romance yet (based on the translated chapters, it’s not in the romance part yet between the leads).

    But one thing I greatly like about this novel is the dynamics between the leads during the switch. I don’t know how they were able to pull it (it’ll be so hard in real life, with them having too diff majors). Most interesting parts usually is on when they discover things about how the opposite sex’s body usually is and its just makes me laugh out literally loud.

    I’m hoping in future chapters the author was able to described the characters more esp Lin Yu Tang because I dont know if he’s just plain quiet or really a bad person.

    The book is good but the drama which is totally different from the book is superb!

    This is my favorite “feel good -reread” book. Thanks to Peanuts and Hoju’s wonderful english translations. I just reread the last chapter again! I ♥️ XiXi and Shi Zhou!
