This story reminds me of another Novoland story 华胥引 but ten times creepier. Try not read this at night if you're timid. I'm a bit of a chicken so I didn't. Otherwise, it's pretty entertaining. Romance-wise, it's a bit dry, but it's kind of expected with this detective-style storyline. I feel if it were longer, would see more development in their relationship and possibly a bigger more ambitious plot revolving the king and a coming war that the characters are all afraid will happen soon, but then I'm also kind of happy it was rather short since the story gets pretty creepy.
