I have read this book as the cover mentioned Gu Man and Ming Xiao Xi's recommendation and surprising it was quite good except the ending was abrupt. Ren Hai Zhong (人海中) is a established author and some of her books (钱多多嫁人记, 我的经济适用男 - My Economical Man) have been adapted into drama. This book was originally named after the female character Chang Huang (常欢) whose parents worked in the same factory in a small town in Jiang Xi. The bleak future led her father turned to alcohol and he will throw things at her and her mother whenever he's drunk. After her mother passed away, CH got into a Shanghai Uni due to her good grades and juggled some part-time jobs while studying. She met Yan Zi Fei who works in private equity, and through him, managed to get a part-time job in a wine gallery as well as internship with a renowned professor. She fell in love with him and later discovered that he cared about her because she resembled his deceased girlfriend, Cheng Jin. Just when she thought they can get together, CJ, came back, turned up she was badly injured after saving YZF 5 years ago. CH left YZF and went to study in USA with her senior, Yuan Yu after receiving a scholarship grant. YZF and CJ got married but shortly after, CJ passed away due to organ failure. One day, CH received a package containing her old diary and a letter from CJ. Through the letter, CH found out YZF loves her.
The story ends abruptly and it will be good if author include a epilogue about YZF and CH's feeling.
sounds interesting. gonna try to read it now and see if its good :P but it seems like the ending is happy one but it is not elaborated, right?
Thanks for recommending this novel. I like the flow of the story though i wished they could have gotten together faster and spent much more time together.
