Waah, thanks alot dramasbooksandtea for sharing this little goodies. Its been long time for someone to recommend sweet lil story about school/campus.
Its had me laugh out loud for some scenes, and make my husband look at me at weird way.
I just wished that the story didnt end so fast and keep writing about their interaction during new university. i Just want more!! haha..

As the title of this novel suggests, this novel details the secret love our female lead, Li Er Qin, harbours for the male lead, Rong Si. However, it's so much more than just her secret love for the male lead - it's also about the camaraderie between our female lead and her select group of loyal friends, about the healthy pursuit of good grades, and about the simple and uncomplicated lives of schooling students.
Our female character is a pretty special cookie, with a unique train of thought and seemingly frozen facial expressions which manages to endear her to a select group of close friends. Whilst her close friends are all relatively smart (each excelling in a select area of studies), Li Er Qin appears to be a normal student who, like the rest of us, struggles with her school work and often has to go the extra mile just to score her good grades. Her hardworking qualities, self-awareness of her own limitations, and quiet determination are all qualities that endear her to the reader. Yes, she harbours a secret love for the male lead, but her life is so much more than that.
Our male lead, Rong Si, is the typical male lead who is quiet and cold, but harbours a soft spot for our female lead. He is the genius in class, always acing his exams without any difficulty, and easily attracts hordes of people awaiting to befriend him. He doesn't however, fall for our female lead immediately, but gradually grows to like her after peeling off her introverted layer getting to know her better. Unlike other novels about secret loves, our male lead isn't in love with anybody else, nor is he cold and mean towards our female lead, which is a plus point in my book as it spares the female lead so much potential heartbreak.

I'm glad you enjoyed the novel! I really liked it too - it was a breezy, stress free read which left me smiling and chuckling in parts. It isn't the most memorable novel though - I had to flip through the book again in order to post the review above. I agree, I wanted sweeter, cuter interactions between our leads and within their small friendship circle! I don't really read novels about campus life, but if I do come across another good campus novel I'll let you know! I find campus novels a really good 'escape' from reality - because we're transported to a period in life when we're arguably the most carefree and brazen.
Just read this book and I LOVE it!!! The main characters are really just two introverted people who communicate in a way that is uniquely theirs. He is often silent, but he isn't rude, and is very courteous. Unlike your typical male lead who is rude to everyone (including the female lead at first), he is simply someone who doesn't say much. But if you ask nicely, he will respond. The female lead is a unique one - sometimes she is in her own world, and you always get some surprising (but true) insights whenever you ask her a question. Hahaha. And I like what dramabooksandtea said - uncomplicated is the word. High school wasn't all drama and popularity conrests and all that you see in TV shows. This book tells us of 2 people who got to know each other and eventually walked together. No jealousy or conspiracy theories or scandals.
