It's not angtsy, some may find the story a bit slow pace or boring but I think it's quite a nice showbiz love story.
Mu Lan was spotted to play a 2nd lead role in movie directed by famous young director Cheng Jing Tian. In one acting scene, she became emotional and sank into old memories which led CJT to write a new script and placed her to be the lead actress. They gradually fell in love but one day, she found out about his engagement through news. She was hurt and decided to leave the showbiz industry but CJT got her a manager as he found she has potential. In this sad period, He You Tong, a famous star she befriended gave her encouragement. In 3 years, she became famous and stayed good friend with HYT who fell in love with her. She later found out why CJT left.
