I love almost all the books by 月下蝶影. This one had me laughing a lot. The characters and family relationships are awesomely cute. I felt bad for the Emperor who is such a loving father but unluckily for him, he has a very skilled but extremely lazy heir . The FL is strong and quite badass.

The normal trope for daughters of military families is to either become a useless concubine of the Emperor/crown prince so that the royal family won’t be afraid of them rebelling. The FL instead decides to be a “weak and sickly female” and plans to keep boytoys. Her older brother instead of trying to change her mind, gives her money so that she can happily buy boytoys if she wants. Love their family

I am only on chapter 48 but so far so good. It is light hearted and I like the FL’s personality. A little tigress pretending to be a rabbit LOL. The ‘courting’ between the ML and FL is interesting with the FL being oblivious to the ML’s intention. It’s a bit funny and sweet. So far, I have not encountered any angsty part. 146 chapters isn’t too long.
