The annual Sotheby’s auction was held in Hong Kong.
The newly divorced young master of the Song family made a high-profile appearance, declaring his intent to bid on the 59.6-carat “Pink Star” diamond.
Word had it he wanted to win back his ex-wife.
At the auction, Master Song bid 71 million US dollars but was ultimately outbid by Berlin Real Estate, a powerful local force in Hong Kong, which swooped in and won the diamond.
At the reception afterward, Song Junheng found the new CEO of the real estate company, Shen Si’an.
“My wife has always loved this diamond. I hope you’ll be a gentleman, Mr. Shen. I am willing to buy it from you at a higher price.”
Shen Si’an swirled the red wine in his hand and said nonchalantly, “That’s a shame. My girlfriend also loves this. I’m afraid I’ll have to disappoint you, Master Song.”
A year later, Shu Qingyin hosted a birthday party.
Song Junheng looked at his ex-wife, who was as radiant as ever, on the stage. On her middle finger was none other than the “Pink Star” diamond.

Shen Si’an lifted an eyebrow and let out a sarcastic chuckle, “Shu Qingyin, are you messing with me?”
Shu Qingyin replied, “You weren’t using it. You could’ve sold it to me.”
“Am I so poor that I need your measly money? You don’t get the message when I give you a big diamond ring like that?”

This is a “chasing my wife in the crematorium” story, but he doesn’t succeed. The second male lead becomes the main male lead. There are a lot of dramatic love-triangle scenes. If this is a trigger for you, please do not enter.
