Three Marriages for His Heart (Marry Me) 三嫁惹君心 by Ming Yue Ting Feng (HE)

s24937483

This is the love story of the 2nd brother of the Dragon Family. He is one of the most successful businessman in the capital and one of the Emperor’s favourites – he is the most eligible bachelor in the capital and every lady in town wants to marry him. The story starts with the female lead,  Ju Mu Er, a blind teacher of guzheng, who goes to pay a visit to Long Yue to ask him to build an awning on his popular business street so her friend, a flower seller, will not get wet and fall sick. Long Yue laughs at her (because he loves money and is calculative) and she makes a bet with him that she can allow him to escape from a pesky female suitor without making it obvious. She successfully wins the bet and from then on, Long Yue constantly makes her life a trouble (since she costs him so much money)…. not realising he is slowly falling for her.

Another book in the ancient doting wife series is called Dragon Flies Phoenix Dances.

I too find 3 Marriages a wonderful book, and wanted to give it a thumbs up to people who are considering to read it.

It is annoying to read about characters whom the author keep harping on how clever they are. But in this book, the author actually shows you how Long Er and Mu Er are being clever. Throw in “bratty” and “egoistic” to the mix, their interactions are a delightful mix of romance and intrigue, since there are some mysteries to be solved in the book as well.

Awwww!!! Basking in the 3M love.

I want to re-read 3M too. Maybe I will re-read 3M since I don’t have the time to read any new novels in April.

    *SPOILER*

Actually one of the things I love most in 3M is that it’s the Ju Mu Er who asked Long Yue to marry him! How awesome socks is that.

I also super love the epilogue where Long Yue is forced to play the gu zheng to get the dream gu zheng to propose to Ju Mu Er. Hahahaha. Omg. I need to re-read this.

    *END SPOILER*

*nods nods* Peanuts – you need to read this asap. The OTP is SO CUTE. *dais*

I haven’t found any epilogues. Has anyone read any epilogues for this book?

*Celebratory fireworks* Peanuts is finally going to read this! Woohoo. Are you going to read Dragon Flies Phoenix Dances or 3 Marriages first?

Oh, Moonblossom posted all the epilogues on my blog:

“I have some problem posting a reply and if this goes through, I just want to say I read 4 epilogues for 3M online at http://www.19lou.com. The first is titled “General” and is a bit of nothing talking about how Long Da met his wife. You have probably read the rest which is “Guard” on Li Ke and Qing Er, “Bandit” on Li Yan Shan, the rich girl who was kidnapped with Mu Er, and the last one on Bao Er.

I don’t particularly like Bao Er’s epilogue but “Guard” and “Bandit” are quite poignant. Glad to discuss this book with like-minded folks!!”

I cannot remember if I read “Guard” but “Bandit” is AMAZING. The Bao Er one is more of a full mini story.

oh you must read The Guard! Qing Er (the flower girl) and Li Ke are so cute and as you read, you will wonder if they will be together or not. Here is the direct link at 19lou http://www.19lou.com/forum-26-thread-15501332914328850-30-1.html. If it fails since 19lou loads differently on different devices, you can paste this phrase into goggle to find the epilogue “李柯觉得自己是一个认真负责又正经的好护卫”

Hi Hui3r, I have borrowed the physical book (Book 2 only where there are other epilogues like “General”, “Guard” and and “Bandit” ) but I can’t find the epilogue on Long Er and Jue Mu’er. Is it in Book 1? Thanks!

Haha the above is not the official synopsis of the novel, just a summary I wrote. I think the official was more poetic

I am interested to read epilogue between Long Er and Ju Mu’er that hui3r mentioned. Did Ju Mu’er’s eyesight get cured? Did they have children eventually? Anyone can post the link? Many thanks!

Heart this story. I totally agree with the others – both main leads are not perfect, which makes the story believable and easier to relate. I like how the ML is egoistical, calculative and appreciate of the MC fine qualities and how he really takes care of her and her condition without making her feel handicap.
There’s many laugh out moments with this book, mostly showing the childish side of the ML. I kNew it will all turn tables on him when he did very petty and childish tricks on the MC, and it did! The three marriages took quite some time but it was quite funny how he had to woo and win her back.
The last part of him to try to win the MC with him playing the Qin, which he hated and played badly was hilarious as he realised that he doesn’t care about face value anymore as he will get the crazy expensive gold qin for free!
The MC is endearing on how she can use her wit and non grating wiles on the ML and ML actually enjoyed bantering and taking care of her when she piled her wiles on him.
This story also has more hot scenes than the prequel, which the brothers accounted that ML married very late and that accounts for him not coming out his wedding rooms for three days. Snicker.
The tight brotherhood is also shown especially when LongSan had to save both him and MC, to which MC grumbled a bit and ML declared she still find him the best. Thumbs up for the characters’ portrayal!
