Hi cloudandsea! I'm pleasantly surprised / happy to see this novel up on SSB! I've looked at the summary several times, but just haven't found the courage to read it because I heard it's pretty heavy, and, even after suffering through all the angst, doesn't have a happy ending (like The Wind Goes, As He Knows). Would you say this is one of Jiu Yue Xi's must-read novels? I'm really torn about whether to attempt this novel (or not)!! :')
Hi dramasbooksandtea! It is really quite heavy, I don't think I will read again. They had quite a number of scenes on army scenes which I briefly read through and skipped >__<
Hi cloudandsea! Thanks for responding to my query, I'll take your warning to heart and pick it up when I'm finally ready for some heartbreak :') Have you read all of Jiu Yue Xi's novels though? Do you have any particular favourites? I'm stuck in a sweet / comedic novel phase right now, but I'm sure I'll grow weary of it one day and return to angsty novelists like Jiu Yue Xi, Twentine and Tong Hua..
