In this large world, the four kingdoms, Yan, Bi, Yi, Cheng, divide the world.

Bi Kingdom’s Right Minister’s daughter, Chen Yu,* with a dignified appearance and a virtuous demeanor, admires Ji Ying, the son of one of the Four Great families, Ji. When the two families were planning to have a marriage, it was ruined by the monarch, Zhao Yin. From one imperial edict, she was forced into the palace.

Because of her family, Jiang Chen Yu is helpless, and followed orders into the palace.

But she is not willing to be the Emperor’s consort, and die of old age in this palace. Thus she offers her service like Mao Sui, and requests to be Zhao Yin’s tactician.

Zhao Yin admires her boldness and knowledge, and sends her as an ambassador to Cheng Kingdom, using the excuse of giving birthday wishes to the Cheng King, in actuality, to secretly steal classified secrets. Who would’ve guessed that the history of the Four Kingdoms would be changed from this careless decision?

*This is based off of the description of Xi Shi, “chen yu luo an,” as in fishes forget to swim because they are mesmerized by her beauty.
