This story sounds depressing. But I read it is touching & the male lead is very good. I am kind of sick of cunning & cold male leads so I wanna read an awesome male lead who can reduce me to tears:P But I don’t like his name. Bei Bei gives me goosebumps, sound like Big Baby, lol.
I started 客官不可以. I’m at where her old boyfriend comes back work in the same company. The story should be funny, but I don’t find it so. I’ve decided to drop it.
I’m finishing 君如陌上尘 by 心雯. It’s an OK read. When the male read first meets the female lead, he says she’s chubby like a koala so I thought of you, peanuts, since you’re from the land of koalas…haha. Also following 叶落无心’s newest story. Don’t know the Chinese title, but the Viet title translated into Eng. is something like Marriage Without Love. According to the translator, 叶落无心 is still writing this and posting it online so have no idea how many chapters. Highly recommend this to fans of angsty plots, lol. So far, the story is a bit similar to Fallen Innocence to me, with the added twist that the male lead is the adopted brother of the female lead. Since I liked Fallen Innocence, I’m enjoying Marriage a lot.
I’m familiar with Egg Egg 1113. My first story was 天亮了，说再见 and I liked it. Very angsty and sad but happy ending. I’d give it 7/10. My second story was 金刚兔兔. I thought the story was silly so 4/10. A few other stories are currently translated but they’re not done so I haven’t checked them out.
Yes, yes, I heard you, lol. I also dropped 客官不可以. That book is not bad but not good either bcos not funny enough. Feel very cliche & dull.
What is 君如陌上尘 abt? Hey, fyi, I am not chubby but will look even better if I shed a few pounds, lol. You like most of 叶落无心’s books. Luckily, you are over 18yrs of age bcos I find her book a bit yellow:P You should read 长着翅膀的大灰狼’s books as her books kind of same as 叶落无心, funny & yellow, lol.
Hey Egg also wrote a book called Marriage without Love (只婚不爱) which has pretty good review. I think she wrote abt 10 books. 双恋 written by her will be made into a drama & broadcast in 2013. If this book is good, I gonna read that next as the synosis sound rather interesting.

The plot for 君如陌上尘 is cute. The male lead and female lead first meet in their teens. He’s from a wealthy family, good-looking, and the #1 student at school. She’s the opposite, lol. There’s a part where she doesn’t like the food in the cafeteria so during lunchtime, she would climb over the school wall to go outside to get food, haha. It’s cute that he likes her but doesn’t know how to tell her so he tries to get close to her through his childhood friend, who just happens to be a good friend of her. She also likes him but doesn’t dare to believe someone like him would like someone like her. In high school, his family moves away. Later on, she finds out which college he goes to so she studies hard to get into the same school. They meet again in college. Once again, he’s the popular prince all the girls are after, but he rejects them all. A conversation with her roommates leads to her to make a bet that she could get him to like her. So one day when she’s drunk, she goes to his class and asks him to kiss her, lol. Everyone is surprised when he does so, but then she collapses in a drunken stupor, lol. When she wakes up again, she rationalizes to herself that he’s way too good for her and doesn’t want to be hurt in case he rejects her so when they meet again, she lies and says everything was a bet and she never liked him. After this incident, he completely ignores her. Fast forward several years and he comes back into her life to hold a high management position in the company where she works. Once again, she’s a nobody in the company, and she avoids him like the plague, lol. This is where I’m at.
I like 叶落无心 because her stories have the type of angsty plot that I like, which is the main couple separating and meeting again and that the male lead finds himself falling for the female lead again against his will with some huge obstacle between them. I also like her writing style and think she does a good job organizing and pacing her stories. While I’m a huge fan of 叶落无心, can’t say I’m a fan of 长着翅膀的大灰狼 based on my limited exposure.
The intro for 双恋 sounds interesting. Egg Egg 1113 is a hit or miss for me though. I liked the first story I read but found the second one lacking.
Arrrgh such a cute plot & you wrote the book is ok. It sounds nice, lol. Oh, I might read this book instead of Say Goodbye at Dawn. If I didn’t ask, you not gonna tell me? I find 叶落无心 & 长着翅膀的大灰狼 having fairly similar style but I don’t like their gangster stories. I just don’t like stories abt triads, mafia, police etc.
The 2nd story you read by Egg is I think her worst story. She has got a few other books that have quite interesting titles eg Single Bed, Bad Man, You’re Cool, Deceptive Love, Sugarless Love etc
I should say something about the chapters in 君如陌上尘. My version has a total of 60 chapters. The odd chapters up to chap 47 are about childhood through college while the even chapters are when the main couple meet again. I find it a bit confusing to go back and forth between past and present so I read the odd chapters up to 47 in one go then go back to read the even chapters, hehe.
Happy ending or not ar? Hey, I’ve started this book, reading till the adopted mum introduced an ugly man for Yiyi to marry. Eeeeeee, why the adoptive parents like that? They are not poor. Why need to marry her off so early eventhough the brother rejected the marriage? I wouldn’t want someone like that to be my in laws, so materialist & cold-blooded:(
Oh, I get it now with their names. Yiyi & Bei Bei = Yi Bei (meaning forever), so sweet. Yiyi is so pitiful, such a crappy wedding:(

This is the end of part one where the radio drama stops. The book has 5 parts. I gonna read part 2 onwards with google as I’ve finished hearing part 1. The feedback is 很虐 in the middle but happy & touching ending so our cup of tea:) I like to see my sun after a rainy day. Not like FWSC’s books where you feel sad till the end. Give it a try & if you don’t like it, give it the flick.
Oh dear, this is just the 虐ness that I crave for. This seems very like my cup of tea.

If you like this book, you can listen to other work by this author as she wrote abt 10 虐 novels which mostly have good endings. Some of them do sound angsty & interesting. Another one is FWSC’s book.
But I need to warn you that she likes to write abt gay. If you are uncomfortable reading realistic potrayal of them, then don’t read this book & other gay theme books. I finished part 2 of this book & was quite shock at the way she depicted gay love. There is even love scene of that, eeeeee:( Although I try to be open minded & do not discrimate, reading abt it really gave me goosebumps:( I am a bit scare to continue with this book.
Just listen to the audiobook then start reading fr part 2, chapter 1. You’ll need the book in front of you to glimpse thru as the audiobook is just a summary. Give this a try with an open mind as the story is kind of different from the normal kind where we do not have a cool & confident male lead. Instead we’ve a nice & pitiful one. I kind of feel repulse by him yet at the same time admire the way he cares for the female lead. It is just so sad:(

Actually this is a good book, otherwise petboy will not read it. It is just we need time to adjust like the female lead in the book. Initially she reacted the same way as us but later, learned to accept him for who he is. Btw there is a reason which I won’t spoilt you as to why he is gay. He is actually a victim. If you feel so strongly abt this, go & read 双恋 by this author which will be made into a drama next yr. The plot sound interesting & non-gay.
I read the synopsis to 双恋. haha the title sounds like bi-love. >< It's about a a girl that married the brother of the guy she was actually suppose to marry because that guy ran away. It seems like a very winding type of story. Die, didn't die, pretend to die, come back? while I was looking up the story, I saw an ad for another book called 血嫁. I wannnna read. lol None of the recent audiobooks catches my attention. T_T

It’s actually not cxt8 that decides the books. Have to nag the readers. It’s really Xiao Meng’s choices that has not been my cup of tea. She likes long stories with character development that are too long for my liking.
I think I read the reader in charge can choose the novel but subject to approval fr cxt8 site admin. Then they can select other readers? Bcos Cgege said it is not up to him to decide which characters he read in HQG. So, you should post more often to lobby for your fav book, haha…

I just read this story……oh my!!!!! I’m just sooooo upset……so very very upset…..it’s so nice and touching a story…but just so tragic……even tho it’s supposed to be a happy ending….but…there is still so much heartbreak….so many broken hearts and unfulfilled happiness 🙁

As you should know by now, most of the books I posted are good, lol. The mustard bit which I find difficult to shallow is between Bei Bei and his bf:( Thus, I bet my last dollar on XX not daring to touch this book, haha….I am glad you like it since the subject matter for this novel is not for everyone. For people like lidge and me who read practically everything, this is very well-written touching and sad novel. Hey Pm, you need to read something silly & funny next to detox, lol.

I don’t understand parts of it…like who did yi yi kill and why…who caused bei bei to become like tat….and i thot he said he fell asleep after drinking the water…..and who’s the real father of the 1st child..but tho I suspect it’s the weirdo….and why cui nuo ran does not like Han shao yi…coz I kw he really loves her….. And I think the yi teng fellow really loves yi yi too…. So many people love yi yi……in a way I feel like its a replacement of the hurts that she has received……
