Sansheng is the spirit of the Sansheng Stone that sits by the bank of the River of Oblivion.
She has always thought that she would continue to stand guard by the River of Oblivion forever this way.
However, everything she expects comes to be destroyed by a fated love trial.
The moment she meets a man as gentle as jade, the amaryllises along the Yellow Springs glistened as though sunlight from the land of the living is shining down on them.
He gives her a promise of three lifetimes.
And thus she searches for him through three lifetimes in the human world.
Yet in the end…
Her love trial wrecked these three lifetimes as well as Moxi’s.

Wait, who stole my first five-star vote? lol…
Anyway, this story is super short and sweet. It’s like the perfect book to start with if you’re new to xianxia, and even if you’ve read a handful like me, it’s still such a gem (IMHO).
Okay, that’s enough PR per peanuts’ instruction 😀

Glad you posted this hamster! I totally agree that this is worth 5 stars. I should go update my own recommendations page hahaha.
Lol it was peanuts who posted this under my name!
Woo hoo! Audio book has male voice ^^ does anyone know who it is?
Hamster: You were the one who translated it so of course post under your name:P Post more of the books you’ve read 🙂
AcrossTime: You audiobook craze lol. I listened to chapter 1 of the audio book but I can’t hear a male voice! Eeeee, I am allergic to female using voice imitation device to read the male parts 🙁 The male announcer voice you heard at the beginning is not the reader. On the other hand, I listened to the radio drama which is pretty good. I can follow the plot because I read a detailed summary of this novel b4.
A fan-made MV:
omg. i read it in like 3 hours. its so cute and nice!!!
Loved this book. 🙂 it was sweet but not cheesy. And the female character was really refreshing.
It was easier Chinese language too !! Lois lan Ying bi hue had me busting out the dusty dictionary…
Thanks for the recommendation.

@Peanuts, yeah I realized that during my break. After Hua Xu Yin, I can’t do male voice imitation by females either, thus I have not read this book yet. My school load just got super heavy and I still have to write my DAT T_T So going to take a break from my novels 🙁
thanks for your help!
Decembi and I read Siming and we both agree it’s draggy >_< I took her advice and skipped to Ch 50 (from wherever I stopped) and all of a sudden it was awesome again lol. You guys might wanna keep that in mind.
It was very draggy. Felt kinda disappointed, but seven lifetimes and San sheng were pretty hard to follow since they were such great novels. Wish I saw the comment earlier… I read everything because I was waiting for the super big plot twist/ secret.

Short, tasty book. If Hamster translates faster, then global warming will stop. Sigh, can’t find many nice books like this.
This is sort of my first xianxia reading.
And so glad to found it. I super love it!!!
It’s really refreshing, sweet and funny and I’ve cried on several chapters.
I like the author writing styles.
It flowed smoothly without dragging too much. And the snow plum blossoms sceneries were beautifully detailed. Love it!
