It’s sort of like Three Lives, Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms in a modern setting.
This is a story about the forgotten past and reunion. There is a thousand possibilities of us finding love in the vast bright light big cities. Summary from Atsu-chan:
Yan Song lost her memory eight years ago, at the young age of 16. She didn’t know where she came from or who she was, all that she had was the newborn son in her arms. She and her son were adopted by the lady who hit her with the truck, and she tried to resume a normal life by trying to finish school. It was at school that she met and fell in love with Lin Qiao, one of the top students in the school. But her love was not meant to be. As a single, unwed mother trying to raise a precocious young son, her life is never easy. And then one day she meets talented architect Qin Mo, who may know more about her past than he lets on.
I am 10% into the book because I desperately need to listen to a modern one:) I like it, I like it. The reader is very good. I think she is the voice of HXY. I think there is another version floating around with another reader which is not as good. The guy reader also good plus the music. Oh TQGZ, you are so funny:P
HXY was read by ah shou, the reader for this one is same as DMY. I heard this one is suppose to be more touching than 3l3w10pb, but not as sad as hxy. I’m just started on that other modern book atsu-chan recommended. Was really stuck between reading this or this book. Did coinflip.
haha, I give in. I’m reading this one first.
I’m reading along with you. This is my first modern novel so hopefully I’ll be able to get through the whole thing. 🙂
Hahaha, I know both of you can’t resist if I post the book:P I listened until 3am & got an earful from my dad:( I got busted because I can’t download the book & have to listen online in the living room. Help, how to download the book fr cxt8? I am at episode 6 now. So far, I like Yan Song & Qin Mo more than Susu & Ye Hua because they are more life like in the modern context. Plus this is my first modern novel, so it is really addictive haha….Lastly the guy reader’s voice has a rather modern stable feel, different fr Xiao Bian C who sounds more ancient & funny.
So, how do you like it so far? Too bad, Atsu is not online to discuss more with us:( Btw did I get the title & description translations correct? Since I can’t read Chinese, I depended on the audio which I heard 10 times in an hour to write them. Wah, translations are really difficult & time consuming so a big thank you to all the dedicated translators who have such good command of both the languages.
Just started too. The guy’s voice for Lin Qiao sounds better than for Qin Mo lol, will make me very bias!
When you click on the download button on the novel’s page next to the episode, it takes you to a page like this: http://www.cxt8.com/static/chapter_1778/download_87233.shtml
You can click on any of the 4 buttons on the bottom. I think you can only download one at a time, I usually get problems when I download more than one at a time. I think sometimes you can also have problems download, like it gets very slow during busy hours in China.
I’ve become a huge fan of TQGZ after reading 3W3L, HYX, and this book. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!! The author has an off-beat, humorous writing style that I really like.
In this book, I really like the relationship between Yan Song and her son. I love how Yan Song continues to try to live day by day despite all of the hardships in her life. Her son cracks me up because he’s just absolutely adorable in his worldly way. Sometimes, it feels like he’s the parent and she’s the child….lol
Hey, are you from XiaOyuer’s tumblr, the one who read books translated to Vietnamese? Yes, yes, I like TQGZ also. She and Wire (the author for Heavy Sweetness, Ash-like Frost) give me happiness whereas Tong Hua & Fei Wo Si Chun reduce me to tears so that my reading life is in equilibrium:P Oh this story is so short, I need to listen slowly to savour every bits & pieces of it, LOL. TQGZ is very good in writing abt kid. I also love that little dough in 3W3L. In fact, I love him more than Susu & Ye Hua, haha…
This kid reminds me of the son from inside the tw drama autumn concerto.
Laughing at the cold joke that Qin Mo told his son (I’m sure it’s his son). I’m almost done with ep5. So far I am liking Yan Song, her kid, and her friend.
A thing I have against this novel and maybe just modern novels in general is the very impossible by chance meetings, especially the time on the road when Qin Mo comes across Yan Song.
Really want to know more about Qin Mo and Yan Song’s past. He got an underaged student pregnant. -_-“
yup! I’m your online sibling…lol^^
Yes, the little dough in 3W3L was absolutely adorable too! You’re right, I love the kids in TQGZ’s story.
Haha, I wanted to say abt Xiao Xiao Bin also. Actually this story sound quite similar to some of Qiong Yao’s novels. I think TQGZ is her fan whereas Tong Hua likes Jing Yong.
This is purely speculation but I guess she got pregnant because she was drunk, sick or sad, haha….If TQGZ can come out with another reason, then I increase point for her, LOL. She was Qin Mo’s Art student & he though she was dead. Eeeeeee, teacher & student love affair:(
…..if she was in college that would be more appropriate.
I’m going out to walk my dog now. Will catch up on more chapters.
Hahaha, i think you did wonderful on your summary translation.
omg, I just got to the first kiss scene and it was super hot. Totally shipping Qin Mo right now!!! I hope Lin Qiao will smarten up soon, otherwise he won’t have a chance Yan Song. Qin Mo is sweeping her off her feet. 😀
I don’t like the male reader though, his voice sounds nasally and unpleasant.
Yes, I love the relationship between Yan Song, her son, and her best friend. It’s like they’re a family!
One of my fave moments in the book was when YS attempted suicide and her son caught her. She says it’ll be good for him if she’s gone b/c he’ll go to a nice place with food to eat and friends to play with. He says he doesn’t want to go to an orphanage b/c he’ll be bullied…lol (I love this kid!). This moment is heart-breaking but at the same time, the conversation is offset by the funny conversation between mother and son. This made me cry b/c it’s sooo sad but funny at the same time…if that makes sense. It’s b/c of her son that YS continues to live no matter how bad her life gets.
Haha… I kind of agree with you about chance meetings in novels, but as long as the story overall is good, I’m OK with it :). I actually felt the ending was a bit out there, but I enjoyed reading this though. A lot of hilarious moment! However, I feel 3W3L10MPB and HXY are much stronger in terms of plot. Can’t wait to read TQGZ’s next book!!♥♥♥
Where & when is the fire, haha? Oh xiaOyuer, you always love the juicy bits:P At this rate you need more than an umbrella to shelter you from all the heat & hotness, lol.
Hey you shipping Qin Mo yet want Lin Qiao to smarten up, so contradictory:) I think the male reader is meant to sound snooty. Anyway my Xian Bian C has the best male voice:P
Lin Qiao’s is alright, but what he did with Qin Mo’s is very awkward. nasally is very good description. I just see it as he’s from overseas so he has an accent. I can accept it more this way. lol
haha, C哥’s voice is nice.
Finished downloading, thank you very much. Finished work, running home to marathon, haha…
Oh, the girl reader is the one reading 3000 Crows Kill with Xiao C ge’ge:P No wonder her voice is so familiar. Should have asked C ge’ge to read as Qin Mo:) I think they always team up.
I just finished 11, I do not like Lin Xiao. He gives me the feeling that he’s always liked Yan Song, but it’s always another girl that is his girlfriend. With his first girlfriend I get it, but what’s with his new girlfriend?
Also just realized that Yan Song probably is 2 years older than she was suppose to be. 16 at the age of the accident wasn’t her age, but was the age of her foster mother’s daughter, Yan Song.
So Lin Xiao is actually at least 2 years younger than her? It seemed like they started her in middle school, but then her math was very good and in the end the put her in high school, 1st year.
Now, I’m not sure if her kid is Qin Mo’s… The third male lead just came into the picture.
Everyone keeps saying that Lin Qiao sacrificed oh-so-much for Yan Song, but I didn’t see him sacrificing anything. Maybe because the book is in a first person POV, but I’m not exactly clinking with Lin Qiao. He blows hot and then cold…
……a 3rd guy now?
If Lin Qiao did love Yan Song he would have stayed single after breaking up with his first girlfriend. I don’t get this guy.
Ahhh, nevermind. Yan Lang is definitely Qin Mo’s.
lol I thought so.
Yes, unlike Qin Mo
The girlfriend that showed up with the $20,000 such a disappointment. Guy never learns & never does the right thing.
Now I’m beginning to pity Lin Qiao a bit. When you find out his entire story, I think you will too. But, I can’t believe Tang Qi Gong Zi chose to use that plot line. Arggg….
Still cheering for the Qin Mo/Yan Song pairing though.
I think I am at that point… hehe
Yan Song just asked him if he liked her, and he said no. *bangs head on wall*
Nope, keep going, you’re not at that point yet.
Lin Qiao is like Meng Jiu. He loves her, but their timing messed up everything. Though, Meng Jiu is 1000x better because he was loyal to Jin Yu…
I not there yet, but I have a gist of what’s his story and why that girl is his girlfriend right now. He’s sick right now and indebted to that other girl.
I’m very happy with the Qin Mo and Yan Song parts, so cute.
If this is what’s the deal, I’m can’t help but be a little disappointed. The whole-while reading this, I get the whole taiwanese drama feel.
Oh, all of you are so fast. I am only on Chapter 15 of the audio book but I think I missed bits & pieces here & there as I drifted in & out of sleep, haha…..I’ve always supported Qin Mo from the beginning inspite of his nasally voice:P I think I am not into Lin Qiao is because he blows hot & cold plus he gives me high school kid feel, heehee…
Finally finished. I don’t know whether to cry or be happy.
Not happy ending? Did you read the ebook or audiobook? Is there an epilogue?
It’s a happy ending but I felt so melancholy after I finished. I used the audiobook but I skimmed through the epilogues. One is about their lived three years afterwards and the other is Qin Mo’s POV when he met and started teaching the young Yan Song/Lolita.
Audiobook doesn’t have epilogues, right? Most audiobooks don’t have epilogues & I can’t read Chinese:( Hey, I gonna upload another book to cheer you up:) But you better translate a chapter of Heavy Sweetness, Ash-like Frost keep your readers happy or else they gonna come after me:P
I should be able to finish this book by tomorrow or the day after. Now, I’m starting to like Han Mei Mei and think she deserves Lin Qiao. At least I liked her more than Lin Qiao’s first girlfriend whatever Qi?
I think I’ll only be reading the epilogue chapter about their 3 years later.
xia0yuer you make me scared haha, but as long as it’s happy ending with Qin Mo and Yan Song. I feel that this book is so short with how fast I’m reading!! I think will finish it in the next two days.
I listened until 4am & I am feeling sick now:( It is not exciting but rather funny to put down:) Tang Qi mentioned Qiong Yao so many times in the novel as it feels so Taiwan style but TQ is a better writer in that she can write good funny scenes, not cry cry only. Pls give me the specific links to the epilogue so that I can get online translator to read out to me. With audiobooks, I always miss out on the epilogue:(
Hey, I fnished the audiobook & I wanna rant abt it, heehee. I am not satisfied with the last part of the book plus the ending. The ending seems so abrupt, not enough lovey dovey moments b/w Qin Mo & Yan Song:( His engagement & break up seem so random. Also, why Yan Song didn’t explain to her 1st bf who I’ve forgotten the name that she has lost her memory? Also, why she didn’t share what he told her with Qin Mo? Also, why she can’t tell Qin Mo abt her guilt towards Lin Qiao? Everything happened because of the lack of communication. I can suspend belief & logic for the sake of the story only to a certain extend. This is too much.
TQGZ needs to improve on her choppy style. Expand & concentrate on the impt bits & don’t introduce redundant events or characters. Explore more on the emotional & humane part of the story & don’t bring in random event or people. Although I am not that into Lin Qiao, I don’t think he should be killed off just to extract some tears from us. I really don’t like how the love relationships got resolved. I believe it could be a lot better & more emotional. This book has its moment but towards the end, I feel that it is an average book only.
I’m not at the end yet, but I get what you mean.
There is a part where I don’t understand. Maybe I missed something?
Just past the part where Han Mei Mei tells Yan Song about posting up a love letter to Lin Qiao in Yan Song’s name to help them be together back in High School or was it College? Either way, the fact that he waited outside her place for an entire week until he got severely ill is too dramatic and almost unrealistic. If you go to her place after reading the letter on the BBS, don’t you think that as a person who wrote that letter, Yan Song would be interested to know his reaction after reading her note? Why would she hide in her home and not come out for an entire week? I think it was a holiday break or something, either way, if someone I was waiting to see does not get out of her house for an entire day after writing me a letter like that I’d start suspecting perhaps she went to home to her family? He knows she has family outside of town and has a son, does he really expect her to be totally disconnected from her family for her education? Unlikely. Another thing is, I don’t think it’s possible for a person to not get out of her house for a entire week, doesn’t she need to get grocery or something? Maybe not, but if I were him, and the girl I like just wrote me a love letter and than hides in her house for an entire week, I’d be scared that something happened to her. This scenario doesn’t make sense.
As I wrote I can suspend belief & logic for the sake of the story only to a certain extend. This story is too much. Tang Qi must think we the readers have low IQ. Come on Lin Qiao is a top student. How can someone so smart waited for Yan Song for a week just like that without trying to find her with other methods eg call her, call the friends, knock the door down, call the police etc? I also feel that I miss something but I think it is her choppy style. Seem like the more I read her books, the more I don’t like her:( Tong Hua is a lot more coherent & logical than her. She explained why HQB won’t give his share of the food to the soldiers & the football field so well. The only thing that Tang Qi is good at is her offbeat humor.
Btw Qin Mo is meant to sound nasally in the story. When I heard that part I couldn’t stop laughing as xia0yuer picked this up early on. Also, is it only a joke that one only calls her loved one ‘gege’? Oh no, I’ve been using that term quite liberally thinking it sounds respectful:(
Just adding my two cents…
I do agree that the ending was too abrupt, especially with Qin Mo’s wedding and pregnant fiancee, whose child was not his. I also did not feel that Lin Qiao having lung cancer was a believable plot, because honestly, cancer takes ten or twenty some years to develop. How could he have late stage lung cancer when he’s only twenty four? If the author used leukemia or even a brain tumor, I might believe it.
I might be the only one who thinks Yan Song did the right thing in the end. Sure, she loves Qin Mo, at that time, she had only known him for a month, while she had loved Lin Qiao for three years and been unable to forget about him for another five. She knew that she wouldn’t be able to harden her heart and let Lin Qiao die alone, and she only wanted to make him happy and stay by his side for the remaining time he had left. On the other hand, she couldn’t lead Qin Mo on and ask him to wait for her, because she didn’t know when Lin Qiao would pass. Could she make him wait for a couple months or a couple of years? That wouldn’t be fair to Qin Mo. Thus, she did what she thought was best, cutting her ties with Qin Mo and choosing to stay with Lin Qiao.
What she didn’t realize was how deep her feelings were for Qin Mo. Only after she had already chosen Lin Qiao did she realize that he had taken up her whole heart, and no matter how much she tried, she could not love Lin Qiao as she once did. But still, she had already made her decision, she would make sure Lin Qiao passed happily, without regrets, and that is why she lied to him in the end, saying that she did love him.
Yan Song wanted to let Qin Mo go. Even six months after Lin Qiao passed, she still did not recontact Qin Mo. But when she regained her memories, she realized that her relationship with Qin Mo began a long time ago, she loved him for years, not only for a month. She then matched her memories with what that guy on the train told her. Qin Mo didn’t merely see her as a burden he must carry because of that drunken night, he really did love her. He searched for her all these years and kindled a relationship with the new her because he didn’t want her to burden her. He wanted a carefree love, like how it should have been eight years ago.
She knew that she shouldn’t interrupt his life again, especially when he is already engaged and his fiancee was pregnant, but in a moment of weakness, she sent him a short email. She wrote that she had regained her memories and had lied to him before. If he didn’t care and truly loved his new fiancee, her vague message wouldn’t have made a difference. But since his engagement was basically a sham, he came to find her again.
I think it would have been a better ending if he didn’t have a fiancee and he came to find her after Lin Qiao died. Knowing that he just ditched his fiancee really annoyed me. What kind of man would do that?
As for the love letter sent through BBS, the reason that Yan Song wasn’t there was because she returned to her hometown to take care of her sick grandmother. This happened when she first entered T University as a graduate student. Although Lin Qiao waiting in front of her apartment for a week wasn’t realistic, I think the author merely wanted to show how much he loved her. He probably did knock on her door but wasn’t able to contact her friends because she had just enrolled at T University and hadn’t made any yet.
Agree there are so many flaws to the logic in this story esp in the dramatic parts. But one line in the story towards the end made me really moved is when Yan Song was in the elevator with that hateful Su Qi woman and she admitted to herself that the reason her and Lin Qiao never happened was because everyone was too absorbed with being the victim.
ie. Su Qi thought Yan Song deserved all the pain she brought on her because Yan Song hurt her and then Yan Song was all wrapped up in her own hurt and then there’s Lin Qiao hurting himself and everyone around him trying to be a hero and pushing the girl he actually loves away. I don’t get Han Mei Mei’s writing a love letter to Lin Qiao in Yan Song’s name though. All this victim-mentality the characters had ruined everything.
I finally finished reading this book, but just so occupied with other books I can’t make a comment after finishing the book.
I agree that the ending was very abrupt and some things in the novel was unbelievable, but overall I found this book very enjoyable to read. I also really liked how Tang Qi created the characters in this story. I found Yan Song to be such a likeable main girl, Yan Lang for his funny smart talks, and Qin Mo for being such a wonderful guy. I absolutely sympathize with Lin Qiao also.
There were characters that I wanted more elaborating on though, like what about that Su Qi who liked Qin Mo. I wanted to know if it was the same Su Qi that liked Lin Qiao and came back from Overseas to see Lin Qiao before he died. I thought that was very open, it gives hint that it might be, but if it really was I think I would roll my eyes at the plot again, one of those “Tang Qi, you seriously want to do this?” moments. I thought the last conversation between Yan Song and Qin Mo to be slightly too flowing that it sounded like a joke. “What about your wedding?” which he answers, “I canceled the wedding.” and she follows up with, “What about your fiance, she’s pregnant.” and he answers with, “It’s not mines.”
I liked reading the chapter about Yan Song’s flashback of how she met Qin Mo up till she lost her memories, those were very cute moments. Especially when her ex-boyfriend asked her if it was even possible for her who was not even a high school graduate to connect with Qin Mo who had a doctoral degree. How Lo-Lo’s grades went sky rocketing that her mom started to suspect that she was cheating. Those scenes really make you smile.
Inspite of all my rants & complaints on this book, I still like it a lot because of all the endearing characters and hilarious dialogue. One last complain is I do not like to listen to many parts which mentioned Qin Mo’s smoking habit. Thus, it is no wonder Lin Qiao died from having lung cancer:(
I like this book so much till I searched for the epilogue & got an online translation site to read them out to me, haha….What happened 3 years later during the dinner engagement in the restaurant is really funny. Song Song is so silly to doubt Qin Mo’s fidelity:P The bit about Qin Mo liking Song Song since the day he saw her at the orphanage is also very sweet:) He asked his mum, at that time why didn’t you adopted her to be my wife, haha….
I want link. Where did u find the epilogue chapters?
http://www.shunong.com/yuedu/1/1139/ – Last 2 chapters, after chapter 21. Enjoy:)
I had thought it was a comedy piece! There were so many instances when I burst out laughing reading the dialogue or Song Song’s own thoughts!
Hey Joy, what book are you reading now? You should try the good audiobooks. Quite nice to have some music & songs as well:)
Still onto “岁月是朵两生花” but I’m finishing it. Am already at the chapter when Song Song went to the rural area.
I’m also thinking of trying out audio books. All the discussions I see about ‘nice voices’ got me curious! Which book would recommend I start with? I don’t mind listening to a book which I’ve previously finished reading already!
You can finish 岁月是朵两生花 by listening to it:) Or try Tang Qi’s new audiobook the Pillow Book which according to Chancy is very good & addictive so you’ve been warned:P According to Chancy, Da Mo Yao & Once Promised also have good readers.Chancy & I love to hang out on this site http://www.cxt8.com/ as most of their audiobooks are good. Enjoy.
I’m like on cloud 9 right now. I was guessing it and it’s been confirmed today! 丝缕绵音 (my favorite reader of 岁月是朵两生花, DMY, 3000 Crows, Grand Dream, and Once Promised) says that she’ll be starting a new modern novel with C-gege and w尼奥 (guy from 岁月是朵两生花). I hope C-gege will be male lead.
This novel is alright to start the audiobook on. Ur reading Once Promised too right? When you plan on continuing that you can try the audiobook to finish up volume 2. It’s her newer projects. I thought the experience was very amazing. She uses very good music pieces. Just don’t read while driving. I got blinded by tears and it wasn’t exactly safe.
Some more audiobook recommendations:
If you haven’t read 春秋大梦, it’s a historical set in Spring/Autumn period. That’s a good happy one. 香蜜沉沉烬如霜 and 孤芳不自赏 are both very good too. I haven’t read 午门囧事, but that’s a time traveler comedy which is suppose to be good also.
Yup, she said it was a hobbies she discovered after career. Surprised they still dedicate so much time to do this. How’d u find out she’s a lawyer?
Saw it on her blog as well as the law firm name & address:) She is staying in Wuhan, Hubei which is near the Three Gorges, 三峡 where my dad just visited.
Is the novel chapters complete?
The online novel link has complete chapters. Pls assume all of the links on this blog have complete chapters unless you feel the ending is incomplete. Then you can copy & paste the title of the book into google search to compare the version you’ve read and other links.
You are welcome Pm. Are you Tang Qi’s fan? She is better with ancient books. The storyline is too typical with hidden secret, amnesia, teenage pregnancy etc, very k-drama like but there are some cute parts like the adorable son, the fireworks and the karaoke, lol. What are you going to read next? Need any recommendation? What kind of book do you like?
Thanks peanuts…..just done with this story…a lot of loopholes tho……but still a sweet ending 🙂
Hiya peanuts….I’m not really a fan of tang qi….I like reading in general 🙂
Haha… I loved little Lang Lang…..he’s really cute n smart….he obviously takes after Qin mo….haha…the fireworks was just so sweet…but I wondered how did he find out? Unless I missed out somewhere in between…a
Also a lot of parts tat are quite vague…..when did Qin mo realize tat yan song is luo luo…..and did he realize that Lang Lang is his son when he brought him to the hospital for the op…..is tat why he wants him as a god son? Did he tail yan song tat night? Coz it’s so unreal tat they can meet on such a deserted road.
….I’m following ur blog …I think….fanatical and hamsters….hehe…I’m a stalker!!
Wat would u recommend next? I like happy romance with happy endings….sad stories n happy endings……haha……I read dmy and I was so sad…..I was shipping meng jiu….I like sad brooding handsome romantic and smart guys…..ESP if they look like godfrey GAO…..
I loved remembering li chuan…..was so so so sad tho….but was happy with the end…..
Q; haha…the fireworks was just so sweet…but I wondered how did he find out? Unless I missed out somewhere in between…a
A: Song Song’s good friend told Qin Mo what her heart desire. When they were lighting the firework, Qin Mo confessed this to Song Song if my memory serve me right.
Q: when did Qin mo realize tat yan song is luo luo?
A: From the very beginning as she looks like Luo Luo. Then he found out she had an accident and lost her memory. That is why he treats her so well.
Q: did he realize that Lang Lang is his son when he brought him to the hospital for the op?
A: No, Qin Mo always think Lang Lang is Song Song’s first boyfriend’s son. He is the author she met in the train towards the end of the book. Remember Song Song told Qin Mo she is worried that Lang Lang’s dad might be a criminal but Qin Mo said don’t worry as he could be an author?
Q: is tat why he wants him as a god son?
A: No, he wants him as a god son because he wants to get close to Song Song. He wants a 2nd chance with Song Song and can accept a step-son. Remember what he said when they were making the dumplings with those invited guests? He said something like he loves Song Song so will accept her past. Since he is no spring chicken, he is also afraid Song Song will complain he is too old for her. Oh, Qin Mo is so sweet:)
Q: Did he tail yan song tat night? Coz it’s so unreal tat they can meet on such a deserted road.
A: No, I don’t think he followed Song Song because he saw her for the 1st time after returning from oversea. But after noticing she left early, he probably followed her. It is unreal bcos this is a story. Otherwise I would have met my Qin Mo on a deserted road, lol.
Q: I’m following ur blog …I think….fanatical and hamsters….hehe…I’m a stalker!!
A: We welcome stalker with open arms, we don’t discriminate, lol. Actually I used to stalk hamsters’ blog for 3L3W updates, haha…..
Oh no, I am such a Tang Qi’s fan to the extend I can remember so much abt this average book when I can’t even remember what I ate yesterday:P
As easy as ABC, just imagine in your mind while reading the novels that all of them look like Godfrey Gao, lol. Maybe you can give A Gentleman’s Promise a try as the guy waited many yrs for the girl, so quite touching. Or try one of Xin Yi Wu’s books, one of my fav author. Go & read my feature or the synopsis here to see which one you like. Mind you, not all have happy endings.
Peanuts!!!! You are fantastic! 🙂 thanks for explaining…….im trying to read the book in Chinese and I’m not too fluent in it…..so I miss out quite abit of info here and there……do you also read in Chinese or just listen to the audio in Chinese?
Ahhh….so I see…that’s how the fireworks…..so tat means Qin mo did talk to yue yue as well regarding song song….
But y would qin mo think Lang Lang is the authors? Coz song song only slept with him? He must be so happy that Lang Lang is his son…..but I remember a part where one of song songs friend at the dumpling party said that the two really looked or behaved like father and son….didnt it dawn on Qin mo? Since he had the intact memory?
Ah….so it still semi stalking here I guess…..haha…..how come no one stalks me like tat…nor I find anyone like Godfrey GAO…. 🙁
Okay…I will give gentlemans promise a go since I’m just done with this one……I need entertainment in life…..I’m sooooo bored……..
Thanks thanks…i will continue to openly stalk ur sites…..But I’m amazed…how do you find the time to read, translate and still work at the same time??
At least you can read Chinese but I can’t:( So, I listened to the audiobook. Btw you should give it a try as some audiobooks are really good with sound effects & nice songs. Some male readers also sound very swoon-worthy, lol.
Probably Qin Mo is not sure he is Song Song’s only man so Lang Lang is either the author or his son. Tang Qi didn’t make this clear:(
Btw, you want to read a book where the male lead is a stalker, lol? It is a Xin Yi Wu’s book with happy ending. I quite like that book.
I can translate, read & work because I am efficient, lol. Lidge will disagree because she is jealous, haha….
Ok finally read Tang7’s modern novel. Thankfully it’s short and a good length actually, but it’s really messy. I now know why some commented that it’s like a Qiong Yao novel! The plot is so convoluted… I like Qin Mo and the son <3, but everything was weirdly structured and I couldn't really feel much at the end :(. Somehow, I feel everyone acted pretty strangely? The second male lead was too tragic and I didn't really understand the motivations behind most of his actions – except to spur on the tragedy? Hah.
I just wanted to add cos I just found out today (finally signed up for weibo) that Tang7 has completely edited the ending of this novel! She posted the new ending on her weibo and man it looks good!
I warned you b4 that this book has bad characterisations and structure and only recommend to read it as T7’s fan, not bcos it is such a great book:P
Oh, in future, pls share all the juicy T7’s weibo’s update here:) Also, I am slack so can you pls post the revised ending or the link to it so everyone can read it:) Seriously the original ending was bad, so anti-climax. Qin Mo just appeared out of the blue & said I am back then the end. At that time, I was stupefied????
Peanuts, just for you and your 1st year blog anniversary, I’ve translated the edited ending:

🙂 Enjoy! Heheheh.
P.S. Not sure about all the edits but I also hope Qin Mo does not get engaged in the new version 🙂
Finish this book yesterday. I think the story a little bit draggy. There wasn’t much angst. I pity linquao but also hate him cause he always deny his feeling in front of the female lead. Everybody knows except her!
I like when they date. It’s beautiful as it’s the first and the last time they date. I cried when he died 🙁
Aiyaya, why are you so impatient? Bcos someone may translate the revised version, lol. Anyway I am a Qin Mo supporter:p
WHAT?! REALLY???!
I should’ve been waiting patiently 🙁
Don’t worry, I’ll read the translation later! There’s always time to read translation 😀

The trailer for the drama has been released while they are still filming it in Suzhou, super fast. The leads are Hawick Lau & Wang Li Kun. The drama looks very different from the novel. I think the story has been changed drastically that T7 also will not be able to recognise it except for their names lol. The drama feels a bit like Jerry’s Loving, Never Forgetting, very melodramatic.
The drama is pretty much unrecognizeable which the plot changes. I don’t feel Hawick fits as Qin Mo. He looks more like Lin Song and Lin Song actor looks more like Qin Mo.
