Yah, in 良言写意, the female lead is a lawyer. Might read this book next. Lidge, I bet you read this book b4, so feedback pls:P

I haven’t read this. Searched and found that only 1/3 of it has been translated, and that’s what I read. The main girl is a lawyer, but she’s absent-minded and unprofessional which causes a lot of funny incidents. For example, she assumes the guy who drives the main guy around as the chauffeur so when she first meets him, she calls him “chauffeur gege.” Then she’s told that the guy is actually a manager in the company. She realizes that just because someone drives the boss around doesn’t mean that person is the chauffeur. The description of the main girl as a child is very cute. For example, when she played around with the other kids, she’s insisted on being the king so she forced her good friend (a guy) to be her queen, lol.

My complaint is that there’s obvious a mystery in the relationship between the main couple, but the author throws in small characters that do not appear to move the story forward enough. The main couple do not interact enough, just argue every now and then. Hopefully this changes later on.

I like the main girl so I’ll follow this story.

You want spoiler:P? I sort of know the gist of the story. I was listening to the radio drama for this book this morning, quite boring bcos I am confused:( I nearly fell asleep in the train, lol. But the song is nice so woke me up:P I feel this story is something like Warm Chord.

Hey lidge, since you are reading this book, I might as well post it up to facilitate discussion. I think I wrote the spoilers in the book intro already, lol. It is not my fault as I just translated it from the book:) I am starting this book tonight, thanks to you:P Oh no, I’ve abt 8 incomplete books:(

Hey skyblu, thanks for the instruction on posting spoilers. Yes, I love to read spoilers. The more you don’t want to let me read, the more I am tempted to read, haha….So, interested to read this book, lol?

Oh, this author wrote 3 books & all have good reviews. Ooops, among the 3, this is the one with the worst comments. I might check out her other 2 books, heehee…..

Tried the first 4 chapters or so. Dropped it because it ent so slowly. I knew one of them was amnesiac but I thought it was Li Ze Liang and not Xie Yi. I couldn’t really make out their relationships, especially with the extra characters, so I moved on to a less confusing book.

Haha, I though I am slow bcos when I was listening to the radio drama, I was confused:) Oh, then I better check out her other 2 books with better reviews. What book are you reading now?

Arrrgh her other book is on teacher & student r/s which I avoid like the plaque but this one got very good rating. Another one is abt a blind musician. I think she likes to write abt ppl with disabilities which is fine by me.

The annoying thing about this story is the author including many small characters that are irrelevant and do not move the story forward so it can be confusing. Or maybe these characters are relevant later on, but the way the author introduces so many so quickly is confusing. Meh, I just skim through these parts.

I didn’t realize there’s a family feud, and CXY might be putting on an amnesia act for revenge. I’m surprised she’s capable of that because she seems upbeat, kindhearted, and absent-minded. I’m curious as to what happened in the past and CXY’s motive so I’ll follow the story.

Peanuts: Wahahaha, I didn’t start this book but started another book:P The synosis sound like a book we’ll like bcos the male lead is persistent & obssessive, lol. I think you probably read it b4 as the author & the book are both well-liked & well-known. I’ll post the book tomorrow if I like it enough. My target is 10 unfinished books:P Haha, this is a bad habit of mine as I’ve tonnes of unfinished audio books, normal books, dramas etc waiting in my house. I think their owners think I am never gonna rtn them, lol. Come back tomorrow to find out which book:P

The problem I get with too many unfinished books is that I lose the motivation to finish them. The characters start fading out, and I don’t remember what makes them special anymore. Hey, persistent males are likeable; if they’re not persistent, we think they’re either weak-willed or doesn’t love the female enough. I wish you luck in keeping them straight. I can’t even keep the 2 or 3 unfinished books I have straight. Is the book you’re interested in modern or ancient?

I totally agree with skyblu. I only focus on one book at a time. Sampling is alright, but i get out of it quick enough to not get trapped into reading further. If i pause a book i have to do it at a very special time so that it won’t be a problem or uninteresting when picking up again. I can do one modern and one ancient, but two that are in similar times i can’t do. Im testing out a modern novel that I’ve wanted to read for awhile. Let’s Fall inlove like we’ve never been hurt before. Anyone read b4?

Sound familiar but Chinese name pls. 恋爱吧,就像不曾受过伤害一样 by 木槿天蓝? Heehee, I’ve to admit I am abnormal bcos I am used to doing it. I lose focus easily but I never have problem picking up where I left off:) Oh skyblu, I only read modern novels bcos you know I usually dislike ancient male lead plus my chinese is not good enough for ancient books.

    Hi

I read this book before and I liked it a lot! The male lead really made up for his wrong doing but I felt that the ending was a bit too abrupt.

I find the first three chapters so boring. The story get better after they live together. And addictive after when Ze Liang is softer and shows his love for her.

Chasing after a guy who always acts cold and distant is not easy. But she was really persistent. In the end, he is the one that loves her more. aaww And it’s really very sweet how he spoiled her.

I think it’s a great story but the side characters, Omg, between her friend, colleagues, the Lawyer firm boss, directors, secretaries. Moreover, they don’t have memorable names. Sometimes, it made me dizzy and didn’t know who is who.

Thanks for the recommendation, Peanuts ;P

I find the book average with too many side characters and the relationship between the 2 main lead explosive.
