This is a time/parallel universe travelling Xianxia story, which started off as a romcom, then became angst, then heart wrenching when the male OTP went searching for the OTP female. It was a roller coaster of emotion ride reading this book for me, but left me happy as it is a HE story after all.

He had refused to give her up or kill her, even though it was divined that she will cause his death. She had also opened her eyes that he had provided a safe haven for sprits, ghouls and other non Xian/human species who were trying to survive.
It was the Xian sect scheming and betrayal that caused his downfall, and lost of so many non Xian/human life and his death had weight heavily on her.

I have read it a long time ago so have forgotten most of the plot. Yet, I can still remeber the part where the male lead thought that female lead betrayed him when truth was not like that. I even remember how sad I felt for female lead for being misunderstood by male lead because of this, which led to her death (although she was later revived).
oh,,,,,,,this sounds very heavy and sad now….do they both die? will there misunderstanding be resolved?
Omg..i finally finished reading this book..1000++ chapters..Anyone feel like reading a lighter version of 花千骨? This is a v long story and due to the length, its rather “dog-blooded” (dramatic)..but i think the OTP is quite funny in the beginning..he is really quiet shameless! I like many of the side char esp her shifu – yun hua…he is a much better shifu than that horrible Bai Zhi hua in “thousand bones”. For reader who love happy ending…this one is extremely happy!!! The writter basically let v v v few people dies!!! I kid u not!!! Even a deader than dead char can be come back alive…lol…
