But alas, it wasn’t. The interview ended badly with her giving him a slap in the face!!
In the company where his family is the majority shareholder, Tan Zhou instructed the management to hire Ru Ye even after the stinging slap.
In the university, Tan Zhou decided to take Ru Ye under his tutorship although it was the first time he has taken a female student under his wing, not to mention that her results were the worst.
After being dumped, Ru Ye lost her self confidence and stupidly thinks she’s not good enough to attract any men of substance. At 26, and getting desperate, she thinks she’s about to be left on the shelf. So, she goes on countless of blind dates only to have most of them foiled by Tan Zhou.

A professor-student love story, plenty of laughs and refined humour with a very touching side story of a long lost sister to boot.
She slapped him in the face during the interview when he asked her “..in the shortest possible time, what can you do to attract everybody’s attention?”
She puked during the first day of class and rumours circulated wildly that the sight of him made her vomit!!!
She grabbed his leg and bit his ankle like a crazy dog, because it was raining hard and she mistakenly thought he was her ex-boyfriend.
She accidentally pulled his pants off because she tripped and had to hold onto something for balance…..that something was his pants….
What else was she capable of? Plenty more from where it came……
Ru Ye measures the sizes of both their faces but only to have Tan Zhou declare that her face is so large that her Samsung phone is not big enough. He says she needs to use an iPad for a phone!!!
This book is tremendously enjoyable, great for a good laugh….I loved every reading moment of it.

But truth be told, I never liked teacher-student plots until Yang Lan Hang came into my life. However, I still draw the line, the teacher has to be at least a university professor, otherwise, no go. That’s why I’m still hesitant about Wrong Sparkle unless I’m wrong, it’s romance btw high school teacher and student, right?

At that moment, Ru Ye was already very mad at the interviewers becoz she was the last candidate to be interviewed and by then, all the interviewers were looking very bored and uninterested and she knew that she does not stand a chance of getting the job at all.
So, the last straw that broke the camel’s back was when during the interview, Tan Zhou asked her “in the shortest time possible, what can you do to attract everybody’s attention?”. Her answer was the ‘slap’ to his cheek. In that very short time, that slap certainly attracted everybody’s attention!!! And that slap got her the job!!!

I doubt there’s an audiobook although I did not go searching for it.
This is a comedy without angst, so how to summarise? The summary in the synopsis and my first comment is as good as it gets (I think), if i go any further, I will be translating the book already, lol…….
But really, this book is great for a good laugh……
Peanuts, thank you very much for recommending this book. I liked it very much) The plot can be a little banal, but very balanced, a lot of funny moments. Because of the translation, at first I thought that I would not like it, but by the end of the day I decided to definitely read other books by this author. I really liked the sanity of the main characters. The fact is that there were no hidden grievances and stupid escapes on this basis, which are so common and which sometimes enrage.
Ru Ye, not confident in herself and She Tang Zhou’s feelings for her in the first half of the book, is glad that when their romance was completed, she was as unbreakable as a Chinese wall. Such common sense in heroin is a godsend.
She Tang Zhou is just a dream man) Strong, confident, strict with enemies and gentle with family. This is really one of my favorite characters.
The line of Liu San Wang and Ruer is a separate and very sentimental topic. The last chapters on these two are awesome! As unpredictable as life is, someone you didn’t love as a child became the light of your eyes in adulthood.
