Whoa, I just realized that this translator is also translating Who Gets The World! Yay! But I don’t know how to leave a comment on her blog to show my appreciation of her efforts. (I have lots to say. Ha.) 🙁 Does she visit this site so that I can express my gratitude?

PEANUTS!!! I’m here!!! I’m so happy that you posted this book and remembered me! Sadly, Sherry is a silly girl who forgot all her login info for SSB. T_T

I read the incomplete manhua a few months ago, and it’s GORGEOUS! <3 I think I read this book three years ago so I can't remember much, but it definitely won't disappoint (as long as you read the whole long series, mwahaha). The abridged audiobook is also pretty good.

Thanks for pointing out that someone's posting an English translation! (And lol my beloved Gao Jianli from Qin's Moon is in the picture!) I translated part of Cang Yue's Listening to Snow Pavilion novel a few years ago, but never posted it because I knew I wasn't going to finish it, and I didn't want to torture potential readers, lol.

Oh gosh, there are so many c-novel translation blogs popping up that I seriously need a master list, lol.

    Thank you, peanuts. <3

Haha, I only have the very top of the "head" translated. xD For any translation warrior brave enough to attempt it, the Listening to Snow Pavilion series would be a monumental project. Basically there are 3 books in the series, 血薇 (10 chapters), 护花铃 (17 chapters), and 荒原雪 (21 chapters). The chapters in the series are never in chronological order (it's more like a series of individual stories with an overall arc, but the timeline overlaps in every story so it gets confusing). The beginning and ending of the main couple's story is already revealed in the first chapter of the first book (which is the only part I translated). And then all the other chapters in the 3 books tell the middle of their story and the supporting characters' stories (so long that I could fall over from exhaustion just by reading them, lol). No wonder there aren't any complete audiobooks for this series.

Haha yes, I know that you keep an awesome huge list of all the c-novel translations! 🙂 I was just moaning to myself about the sheer number of blogs that I must remember to visit regularly. Some blogs have translations for multiple novels, so I guess I was thinking of making it easier for myself by just listing the blogs, which are fewer than the total number of translations, lol.

    Hi there,

Can you tell us more about Cang Yue? Is there a list of what he has written so far, where he studied, anything about this author? Maybe there is a short biography somewhere online? If it’s not in English, maybe I can use Google Translate?

    Thank you!

Wow, so the rumors are true! It’s so exciting that The Mirror series is getting a movie adaptation as a Chinese and U.S/Canadian co-production. I wonder who the translator of the novel is…I read the first chapter and while the translation stays true to the original, the style is very archaic and in need of editing (same with the website, because I spot a number of typos).

Ximalaya has made an audiobook for Listening to Snow Pavillion! I think there are multiple voices (I didn’t listen but they normally do). I am very tempted to listen but I don’t know if my heart can bear a bleak story with a bad ending. ): Does anyone have any information about it?

I just finished all of Jing and Yu audiobooks and I am so sad right now, because now I have to wait for updates that may or may not ever come. Yu is further along and more faithful to updating. I don’t want to read the translation though, because the audiobooks are so superb!! About the movie, I hope it hasn’t been dropped. The website themirrortwincities.com is not working. So far only things out are a few posters, no further news, also it’s been 2 years since the announcement. Still looking forward to it a lot *sighs*

Does anyone know if there is a official english translation for the Jing and Yu books? I really want to know what happens in the story after where the audiobook left off, but my brain is lazy and doesn’t want to read in chinese…

Good news there’s going to be a drama instead of a movie! Honestly, I was hoping for a movie instead, but looks like it got dropped since it’s been quiet since 2015. also the audio book has been picked up recently too. I’m so excited!! There’s casting rumors that Van Gao is going to play the main guy. This is a good casting imo I have good feelings. Just hope they don’t kill the script by changing too much T_T
