The School Hunk’s Taken/ If You Don’t Go to Hell, Who’ll? 名草有主 / 你不入地狱谁入地狱 by Jiu Xiao Qi (HE)

I have made two biggest mistakes in my whole life. The first is filling in my College Entrance Examination ambition wrongly. The second, is to offend Zhong Yuan.
If I have to use a phrase to describe the effect of the first error brought me, it is better dead than alive.
If I have to use a phrase to describe what Zhong Yuan did to me, it is simply too numerous to mention.
Eventhough such a person is so evil and heinous, but why such a jerk is still so popular with the girls?

One day, I cynically ridiculed Zhong Yuan: “Demon King sent you here to scourge a few more people?”
Zhong Yuan replied with a straight face: “In order to scourge fewer people, I intend to select a person to scourge for a lifetime.”
Me: “What do you mean?”
He looked at me, smiling: “If you don’t go to hell, who’ll go to hell?”

This story is very cute. I was going to post this but haven’t gotten around to it. Highly recommend it!!

I love this author because she’s hilarious!! I’ve read another work of hers called something like “Wife, Go Home With Me” whereas the female lead marries the male lead, with both of them thinking he’s gay. There’s a hilarious part where she meets her husband’s ex-boyfriend and somehow or other, the two end up being good friends, lol. Very, very funny!!

There’s a time-traveling story too that’s also very funny, but I read it when the translation was still being done. Got tired of checking for updates so unfortunately never got around to finishing it.

One is the porno title, which I already posted, lol.
One is Wife, Come Home With Me.
As for the 2 fantasy books, I can’t remember. I posted them because I wanted books from all genres, but I don’t think they’re must-reads.

The begining of the story is very cute because the female lead has to shave her head due to losing a bet with her roommates. I had to reread this part because I wasn’t sure I was reading it correctly, lol. So basically she runs around the college campus bald, and I think this is what attracts the male lead.

Is it better to say “Wife, Come Home With Me” rather than “Wife, Go Home With Me”, right? Typing at early hours in the morning so I can’t think straight. Yes, it’s 老婆,跟我回家吧. Haven’t heard of 闪婚 so gotta track that down.

Googled and the author has a modern called 重口味. I started this way back when but didn’t finish at the time because the translation wasn’t done. It’s done now so I’ll have to read from the beginning since I don’t remember anything, lol.

In regard to the time-traveling story, it’s the male lead traveling from ancient to modern time. Translation is not done so I can’t read this.

While checking, I stumbled on another of the author’s work. Also time-traveling. It’s the typical female traveling from modern to ancient time. The translation is done so I’ll give it a go.

Wow, you like 酒小七 (little seven) books so much to post all 2 of her published books. Thus, I must read them:) Wah the male lead has a fetish for bald girl. I just cut my hair, lol.

Flash Marriage is the published title for Wife, Come Home With Me”.
    Completed but unpublished work
穿越的孩子像根草 (Time Traveller is like a Blade of Grass) – female traveling from modern to ancient time. Male lead tried to seduce her.
家有穿越男 (Home has a time travelling male) – Author said this is her early work with naive writing, rubbish plot & flawed ending so don’t recommend u to read, lol
重口味 (Heavy Taste) – Childhood sweetheart book. The book intro is funny. As a hungry wolf, my goal is to eat the female lead but unfortunately unsuccessful. Later, I got eaten by the female lead bcos she got tired of waiting to be eaten, lol.

FYI, she also wrote 3 short stories and 3 stories in progress.

He has a fetish for feet, and this is made evident later. I think he likes her personality because she’s gutsy and forthright. She shaves her head bald after losing a silly bet. With other girls, they’d use a hat or wig to cover up. The female lead, on the other hand, runs around with her bald head for the world to see. I think there’s even a description about the sun gleaming off her bald head, lol. The part where he tricks her to use his lunch card so they have to go everywhere together is hilarious, leading ppl to think they’re dating, but she mistakenly thinks she’s got the upper hand in the deal, lol. She is truly a “blockhead,” lol.

Ahahahaha, I’ve just finished chapter 5. Both of them are so childish & cute. I like it but don’t think chancy & skyblu will like this book as no angst. It is an easy & fun read, grinning fr ear to ear. Anyway better than crying & breaking my heart:P Her 3 roommates are also very cool. Is the 4th girl gonna end up with the guy the female lead idolized?

知我者莫若你, peanuts. You know I love angst. I might actually start 爱情的开关 after rewatching Damo, BBJX, and college essays. Fluffiness is more your thing. The summary for 爱情的开关 is pretty interesting: “What I want most is install a switch for my heart. I can turn it on and off at will. This way, when I want to love you, I can. When I don’t want to love you, I really won’t.” The implications that he (maybe she) has tried to stop loving her (or him) but really can’t is so captivating.

Yeah, this is an adorable story. There are so many hilarious things that happen. Wait until you get to where the female lead enters in a karate tournament to fight a love rival and she bets against herself. OMG! One of the funniest things ever! LOL!

All the girls are funny because each has her own personality. It’s cute how the 3 roommates usually gang up on the female lead, lol. I love the nicknames they call each other.

Yes, the 4th girl ends up with the guy the female lead idolizes in the beginning.

Oh, peanuts has read too many books to the extend she can correctly guess the progress of the storyline, lol. I like funny & fluffy books but my problem is I get tired of them b4 the ending so I never finish any of them:( Since I know it is HEA, so no motivation to finish the book, haha…I also have similar problem with tragic books:P Since I know the ending will be sad, I skip them to avoid flooding, heehee….

Okok, I’ll continue reading. I like bad & cute guy with a wicked sense of humour especially Zhong Yuan who looks white, lol. His name is funny. Whenever I read abt him, I imagine a clock, haha….

I’ve progressed to chapter 22 of this book. Haha, that Zhong Yuan is really bad yet sweet:) He has weird taste for liking the girl when she is bald & having foot fetish. I like the idea of sharing a meal card:) But honestly this girl is really a wood, so dumb. Why she kept on liking the other guy? Yah, the karate challenge is funny & so is the kiss stamp. This is a feel good book. It’ll be better if the girl is a bit smarter & manage to outsmart Zhong Yuan once in a while. It is no fun being so 1 sided:(

I have just finished this book, thank you so much for recommending it.

I simply adore the author of these two books, 你不入地狱谁入地狱 and 老婆, 跟我会家吧. How I wish she wrote a few of more these romance comedies.

I now have this wisp of pink cloud floating above my head, maybe it’s becoz Valentine’s day just came and went. Haha…actually, I think it’s becoz of the lead characters in the book. I can’t decide if I like Jiang Li or Zhong Yuan more. Too sweet and lovely for words…..

Just finished this! It’s rather typical, but a v good dim witted girl and smart cunning male lead university love story. The female lead is actually really good at chess – but this fact only appears in one chapter out of the blue when she has to win the favour of the male lead’s grandfather! I thought that was quite a pity – the intelligence in this story is one sided in favour of the guy, though i suppose it’s readable since the guy loves the girl so much more at the start haha!

Hahaha! I almost didn’t finish it too (haha). But thanks for the recommendation, it was a good light frothy read! 3-3.5 stars.

I know what you mean, Peanuts, that feeling of wanting something more! I think the best book I read recently is still Three Marriages – it’s sweet but so incredibly substantial and moving. Ah, once I settle my HK admin and get the summaries and maybe first translation for heavy sweetness up and running, I shall attempt to review Three Marriages!

This book is funny and sweet although I must say the first part is rather slow and the plot wasn’t as smooth as “Wife, Follow Me Home”. Perhaps it was one of the author’s earlier works when her writing style was less polished?

I generally dislike dumb-blondes and Mu Tou narrowly missed falling into this bucket because the author has given her lots of heart to compensate her lack of brains. For example, she is someone who (1) dares shave her head to honour a bet (integrity!), (2) admits to being dumb and displays willingness to make up for it (hardworking!), (3) able to let go of her idol crush when her good friend paired up with her idol (forward-looking!). For all that and more, I like Mu You and really love reading about how she finds her man.

As for Zhong Yuan, he summed up his situation pretty well – although it looks like he is the one bullying Mu You, the one who truely suffers in their relationship can only be him. Why? Because he fell for her first and there is little he can do besides waiting patently for her to return his feelings one day. Direct confessions won’t work with Mu Tou, neither will pranks, presents, pressure, etc. For all his slyness, he is deeply protective of Mu Tou and I love him for it.

To sum it up, yup! another sweet love tale. Hope you will like the book as much as I do!

Just finished both flash marriage and this book….I like the author works but will agree with moon blossom, the former is a better read. There is something special about school romance esp during university. Much of this story take place during her 4 years there and her interaction with ZY is hilarious. The author didn’t give MuEr the full credit. She is actually great at billiard, singing, chess and she was the top scholar of her village (so can’t be a dummy) but the whole story focus on her “blockhead”. The book is overly skewed toward zhong yuan and I find it over draggy towards the end. The are many plots which were under developed despite the length of the book like her junior who fall for her, their campus movie…But this is one of those few books I have read that sex take place AFTER marriage….the story is very “pure” and simple…it’s a good read but I don’t think will be very memorable. Will appeal to younger readers and those who are into high school romance.
