Sharing the Same House but Not the Same Bed 同居不同床 – 舒格 Sugar (HE)

1397348311_ddvip_6111

If “family” is the best gift that the Heavens can bestow, then why do the Heavens take back her present? She has no kin, no family, and no one to back her in case she foil up at work.

Because she is alone, she pours all her energy into work.

Because she is lonely, her boss becomes her emotional pillar.

She thought she has reached a state where she is numb …. until the day she meets him.

He is a good looking but bad-tempered ice skating athlete. He has the meanest mouth, but when she is in trouble, he is the one who dash to her aid without reservations.  And when she is at her lowest moment, he offers his home for her to stay without asking any questions. His caring and gentleness moved her, but despite everything, she cannot help a deep-rooted unease. Afterall, how much love do they really share? Is it enough to last a lifetime?

It is relatively short, about 48 web chapters.

Isn’t this a really similar plot to the Jdrama Pride (with Kimura Takuya)? Not that I’m complaining, I’m a sucker for these stories *cough*

Thankoo Moonblossom for sharing this ^u^

Hi Moonblossom~ So I started reading the story, and I quite like the writing (and also the chapter length ^u^) It’s a nice change of pace from many of the other offerings ^u^

I just wanted to ask something (and this may be completely stupid, sorry, my Chinese comprehension still needs a LOT of work), but is the sport their mentioning ice hockey or speed skating? Because when they say 速滑冰 I feel like maybe they’re not talking about ice hockey… but then the descriptions of the competitions leave me confused T_T

Hi Nutella, I am the embarrassed one because I have no idea!. It was mentioned he has won awards for speed ice-skating, but because of the team competition format and there is a mention of an expensive stick of sort which An Run used to defend Xuan Xuan, i have assume he is an ice hockey player.

Hahaha, that’s fine Moonblossom~ If I would have read quickly, that’s what I would think too ^u^ But I ended up finishing the book yesterday, so I think that the team is a speed skating team ^^

When An Run rushes to defend Xuan Xuan, him and the rest of the team actually borrow hockey sticks from the ice hockey team that shares the same facilities with them ^^

Having finished the book, I would give it a 6/10 (not because it’s bad or anything but simply because I have to reserve the higher scores for books that mean more to me XP)… it’s a light, easy read (I mean… if I can finish it in one day…). It’s also nearly diabetically sweet (with the author’s name being sugar, I’m not really surprised ^^;;). The angst is little to none, so there’s no stress involved~ And, best of all, the female lead is not an idiot ^u^ It’s a nice thing to read on a day where you need a little pick-me-up~

I think I’ll do an extended summary on my blog, and link it up when I’m done… because it’s such an easy read, I don’t think I will translate it (I think you could even manage to read via machine translation)~

i really liked this one. It was short and sweet and the female character wasnt a complete idiot flower vase. I loved how she got her stuff together right after being fired and during her forced evacuation out of the apartment.

Does anyone else have any recommendations on novels about athletes? im starting to have a bias for athlete male leads….

I quite liked the story. Zero angst , but nice read. There are some parallels with Jdrama pride , athlete + OL and something towards the end of the story. Good read
