Alone, Pang Wan entered the Jiang Hu[1]. Her dream was to become a pure lady [2], to find her destined other half.
To fulfill this dream, everyday, she would dress elegantly in white and sit in the teahouse to admire handsome men and read her novels.
She heard, the demonesses [3] related to Jiang Hu were all, depending on their martial arts capabilities, divided into groups of three, six and nine.
Currently, the evil woman, who had the beauty of a blossoming flower, who had a heart like snakes and scorpions, who could kill at such a young age, was a once in a century’s peerless demoness.
She also heard that the demoness had came down the mountains to challenge the Wu Lin [4] champion Gu Xi Ju, to take the title of number one and to wreck havoc in the Jiang Hu.
Yet again she heard that all those who had decent martial arts skills vowed to get rid of this witch.
Aiyaya, it’s not good! Isn’t this demoness her? She did not kill the person! She did not start the fire!
This infamous name of the demoness is also not what she wanted!
Looks, like Jiang Hu’s road is very curved, she better run!
Synopsis translated by sparklingdawnlights
[1] Literally translated as rivers and lakes. Refers to the pugilist world.
[2] Direct translation: A lady like a White Lotus, meaning pure.
[3] Not exactly the supernatural kind. It’s kind of a name for the women of Jiang Hu.
[4] Wu Lin meaning martial arts.
Posting on behalf of sparklingdawnlights who sweetly translated the synopsis of this book for more people to read! <3
The synopsis has already captured my attention *ahem* Hehehee
Has anybody read it yet?
I translated chapter 1 if anyone is interested!
I see this page has not been updated, xia0xiao1mei & anniaxx has taken this project on https://d3wynightunr0lls.wordpress.com/ if you have time please update the translation link.
I started this after reading the translation, at first the MC is delusional and I almost drop the book because of her naivete. I managed to hold back and just fast read the book 1 with help of machine translator.
Starting from the end of Book 1 the story turn 180 and becoming more dramatic (my fave ^^) what good is not good, what weird isn’t bad, it is the politic of Jiang Hu, to survive is hard, even harder if you have no heart and person to trust and trust you back. She grew up overnight having been betrayed by loved one. She is lucky and unlucky to encounter someone who is obsessed with her. She just want to protect her family and someone to sped the rest of her life with. Can she find happiness?
Can anybody give me some spoilers…..
Can anybody give me lotssssss of spoilers…..?? ;3
I’m loving xia0xiao1mei & anniaxx translation of this book so far! 🙂

@Chaeia
First time doing the spoiler tag so may be wrong 😛
@Yuura
Oh an male lead is
@sparklingdawnlights
Thank you for the spoilers!!!! .< I thought this would be a very lighthearted story but it seems to be getting very serious! Sadly, I do not have Chinese proficiency enough to read it and cannot understand machine translate, so can only wait for translations! ^-^ I enjoyed reading your first chapter too sparklingdawnlights! [": Thank you for taking the time to read this~~~ hehe<33 Any spoilers would beeeee super duper appreciated as I am currently obsessed with this story!!! 😀
@sparklingdawnlights Oops, so sorry my previous comment got cut off, don’t know why. XD I wanted to ask 1) What happened to Sang Chan? 2) What are her secrets? Something seems off about her, plus she and GXJ were talking about a promise in the bamboo forest. 3) Does GXJ actually like Sang Chan and do they end up together? 4) Did GXJ also actually like our female lead, but why did he betray her, and how? :O 5) What happened to Nan Yi and his fiancee? Did Nan Yi and his fiancee get marry? 6) What are Nan Yi’s secrets? I can’t help but feel there’s so much to him. ^^ 7) Does Nan Yi end up liking our female lead, or has he always liked her before? 8) When did Pang Wan and He Qing Lu start to like each other? Ahh so many questions, sorry about that! :c But best story ever so far~~~!! 😀
@Chaeia I finished reading the story and loved it for its twist! Though the rest of the story was quite predictable, the beginning twist took me by surprise. 😀
To answer some of your questions…
Omo Hi Jenny!!! 😀 What a treat!!! You’re TOO NICE, this was such an AWESOME spoiler! 🙂 Thank you so much for taking the time to write that all out, I read it like 5 times!! 😛 Ahhh I’m so conflicted by this spoiler though :(. 1) Did Sang Chan become the sect leader of Bai Yue or just another demoness? 2) What falling out did Sang Chan and GXJ have? And you said GXJ doesn’t like anyone, but he seemed like he was so in love with Sang Chan (touching her and everything), when they were meeting in the black bamboo forest (with Pang Wan spying on them) and GXJ was super duper excited and happy to go see Sang Chan. =.= Man , what is up with that?! 3) Was GXJ really was not in love with Sang Chan? He was so gentle and tender, and caring, with her when they met in the forest, ad he was too excited and happy to see her. 4) Why is he remembering Pang Wan by ringing the bell every night?
5) Did he think she was dead? 6)Did he regret it? And wow, that betrayal!!! T^T 7)Was his betrayal successful, and the arrow pierced through her heart? :O You mentioned that Nanyi saved her and lost all his martial arts ability? 8) Does that mean Nan Yi liked her/ or likes her now? Why was Nan Yi so cruel and heartless to her then in all those years she was at the sect? 9) What happened to him and his fiancee? 10) Was there any secrets about his fiancee? She seemed suspicious haha. ^^ And you mentioned she lost all her internal energy because HQL injured her!? 10) How and why!? He is the main lead, how could he do that ahhh. D: 11)Does HQL and our Pang Wan ever confess to each other and when do you think they started to fall for each other?
12)Is HQL sweet to her? 13) Do you have any memorable or favorite scene of them together and what is it? 😀 14) Since HQL is the Palace Master guy, there were rumors of him also liking Sang Chan, is this true and did HQL like Sang Chan? 15) Does Sang Chan and HQL have any interactions, and did HQL like Sang Chan too? Ahhh so much questions!!! If anyone can answer I will die of gratefulness!!! <3333 Thank you for reading this!!! 🙂 Haha it's a bit long 😛 But everyone on here is so nice!!! ^-^ Thank you thank you!
P.S. sorry for 3 posts in a row! I tried to put all in one comment but it wouldn't let me submit so I had to cut it in 3 parts, so sorry!!! 🙁
@chaeia Just saw your comment lol. Thank you! Anyway I think Sang Chan was supposed to do the dance but GXJ made WanWan dance instead. She had to chanced her clothes and tske out the protection vest for the dance thus the arrow was able to penetrate her.
@Jenny I didn’t see the part where HQL injured her! Tell me more pls!
@Chaeia Glad you liked the spoiler. It was fun writing it as well coz of the feels after finishing a whole c-novel. 😀 Well, here are some more answers to your questions…
Sorry I couldn’t answer all of your questions as they were just a bit too many. 😛 But I hoped that helped. :))
@sparkingdawnlights Oops, I made a mistake when typing that out. Can’t really remember names that well, especially chinese names, lol.
I was wondering why didn’t WanWan gett revenge on him but let him continue to rule the jianghu :/ I think it did cost GXJ some effort to send people into BaiYue sect to “groom” her and it was actually successful, thus he had the chance of actually bringing her to his side as some sort of pawn. But in the end he when decides whether or not to use her as a pawn or kill her off, he just chose to kill her off. Maybe he has some growing feelungs for a and may be a weakness for him in the future so kill her off before that happens? Or maybe it was because she had interactions with Nan Yi and HQL and may start to have her own thinking and become harder to control?
@Jenny you’re so awesome!!!!T^T Seriously!!!! <33 It made my day you gave me another huge spoiler post hehehe too happy right now :3 !! This is how I'm like everytime I'm currently obsessed with a story! 😀 If anyone or Jenny (hate to bother you again ahh D:), does have some time maybe you could answer some of my remaining questions so I can live in happy land forever hahaha c': I would literally run a mile to know more spoilers rofl. ^^ /teenage fangirl~ 1)Does HQL and our Pang Wan ever confess to each other and when do you think they started to fall for each other (maybe scene details too? :D) 2)Is HQL sweet to her and how does he treat her? 3) Do you have any memorable or favorite scene of them together and what is it?
4) Who is the Solitary Palace Master then? If he’s really not HQL, then who is he and did he ever interact with our female lead? :O 5) If HQL really is Solitary Palace Master, then earlier there were rumors of him also liking Sang Chan, is this true and did HQL like Sang Chan? 5) Does Sang Chan and HQL have any interactions, and did HQL like Sang Chan too or is Pang Wan his first love? 6) Are there any secrets or interesting facts to HQL? 😀 I’m super curious! Sorry to double post again but it won’t let me submit so I split it into two posts, sorry sorry!! 🙁 And thank you so much everyone!!!!! 😀 You guys are the best! 😀
@sparklingdawnlights Yea what you said makes sense. 🙂 I would think that GXJ would only want Pangwan to live later on in the story as she developed her own thinking and started fighting back, as she wasn’t a mere pawn he ‘groomed’ anymore, thus making it interesting to keep around.
GXJ betraying Pangwan?wae wae?my OTP ship sank dunno whether he remembers her or not or if he feels guilty?
I did not see all the twists coming but thankfully Wan Wan remained true to herself throughout the story and was not twisted by that psycho like he wanted
Was wondering what’s HQL true background as it did not mention it clearly.. Prince or noble or??????????
HQL is a prince. But we only get to know at the end of the novel
Interesting novel written very differently. Started off with a naive and dreamy girl who thinks of her dream man in the world of jianghu. It is like a journey in getting to know different types of men. It is getting hurt in order to grow up. It is about how manipulative people could be in the fight for dominance and power. Worth reading.
